You Can Help
#1 thing you can do to help save animals' lives is SPAY or NEUTER
your pet, and encourage others to do the same! Please stop all these
unwanted litters. Call Animal Friends Humane Society at 256-351-2347
for spay/neuter assistance.
Animal Services offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for
anyone 16 years of age or older, ranging from cleaning cat cages,
dog walking, off-site events, bathing, grooming, in-home fostering,
donation drives, cat cuddling and many others. If you are interested,
please check our volunteer bulletin board in the lobby.
of the Week Flyer:
save animals' lives by printing and posting the Pets
of the Week flyer somewhere people will see it. Animals profiled
on TV, in the newspaper or in a flyer have a much greater chance
of being adopted. Please ask permission to put up everywhere: work,
church, gym, corner store, gas station and anywhere else you can
think of. Please forward it to others who might do this as well.
This WORKS and costs almost nothing!
homes are needed for babies needing time to grow, animals needing
recovery time or a break from the shelter and those waiting for
a transport to rescue groups in the north for no more than 2 weeks.
Would you consider saving lives by sharing your home temporarily?
