New Leash on Life is a no-kill, independent shelter and our goal is to promote
animal welfare such as abuse prevention, responsible animal care, and the importance of
spaying and neutering. Located in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, Dan and Jessica Garrison are independent rescuers
who strive to improve the quality of life for the animals in
Arkansas.
 
Our
Mission is to rescue, provide sanctuary, and ultimately to re-home
abandoned, stray and neglected animals. Our goal is to find loving, caring, forever homes for our rescue
dogs who so desperately deserve a second chance at happiness.

 Volunteers are the backbone of any
nonprofit organization and ours is no exception. Our rescue is run by folks who generously volunteer their
time, homes and hearts in order to reduce the staggering numbers of
unnecessary euthanization of otherwise healthy lovable animals.
Our
Foster Care
program provides these animals with a safe, healthy "place to be" until loving forever homes
can be found for them. 100% of your donations help make this possible.
But we can't do it without your
support. Many volunteers are needed to continue our mission.

life of another. We have various volunteer
opportunities.....Anything you can do to lend us a hand would be very
much appreciated!
Adopting Your New Furry Friend is Easy As 1 - 2 - 3
Our adoption process begins with YOU finding an animal who touches your heart. Then its
our job to make sure
the animal is compatible with your lifestyle and home. We want our dogs to find loving,
forever homes. We reserve the right to deny any adoption if we do not feel that it is a good
match.

Step 2:
We will call your vet and schedule a visit to your home.
Step 3:
If your adoption is approved, you will be required to complete an adoption contract
Yes, the adoption process may be time-consuming, but it's well worth it in the end: you adopt
a pet that's right for you, and the pet gets a loving, permanent home.
Our adoption fee is
$75.00 for dogs and $50.00 for cats. All dogs and cats are spayed or neutered, up-to date on
vaccinations, and heartworm negative prior to adoption.

We welcome visitors, however, since
our rescue is located at our home, we do ask that you
set up an appointment first.
