Ernie was, simply put, a fear biter. We, however, believed that in the right hands and with commitment, he had great potential. So we wanted to share this note we received from his wonderful family (adopted 2 years ago) just in time to be considered our Christmas present:

Steff and Darlene, We just had to tell you this story of Ernie the daycare "Ambassador." Ernie and little sister Remi (the black and white Shiloh shepherd) have been going to daycare while we have been getting tile installed in our home.

The daycare had one shy shepherd that always had to be alone because she didn't get along with ANY other dogs. The daycare thought ERNIE and REMI were so stable and well-mannered that they tried her with them. And guess what! She got along just great. She did so well, they let another Shepherd come in and play with them and she still did fine. The shy girl is right next to Ernie in all the pictures. He has become the daycare "Ambassador" for shy/aggressive shepherds.

We are SO PROUD of him. What a great dog he is! Thank you again for our boy!

Kerilei and Greg

P.S. - The photos were taken by the owner of the daycare because he was so amazed and wanted to show the shy girl's owner how well SHE was doing because she "never gets along with anybody."

FELIX ~ OCTOBER 2014

From his family,
"Thought I should send you some photos of Felix now that he is filling out and settled into our home. He has grown a bit and his coat is looking great now that he worm free and getting good nutrition. He is no longer looking to escape through any opening and is listening to us when we correct him for jumping at the neighbor's wall. The neighbors have invited us over so they can meet, fortunately he (Sparky) is a very friendly Golden Retriever. We ran the Wisdom Panel DNA test for fun, gave no information about him or pictures, and the results came back as one parent being 50% (white) GSD and 50% Golden Retreiver and the other parent was 75% (white) GSD and 25% Husky. Needless to say he is adorable, talkative, and very entertaining. Once he became comfortable, his personality really blossomed and he is a goofball."
Collin was pulled from a Tucson shelter in July 2012, sick, very weak, horribly emaciated, missing fur throughout his body; and despondent. His coat was faded and brittle, he was barely able to stand and too weak to walk.

An update from Bobby's forever family reports that she has traveled places by car, truck, camper & 5th wheel trailer. She loves her daily walks, rides in the car and she gets to go jogging too. Here is a picture of her doing one of her favorite things - rolling in the grass with her favorite Kong toy.
