CHARLES

We rescued Charlie from the Yuma Humane Society, sight unseen, back in January. In addition to unprovoked biting behavior we noticed a lack of muscle tone and lameness on one side. After much diagnostics, ultimately he was diagnosed with a progressive disease called Multiple cartilaginous exostoses

Given his poor prognosis and questionable temperament the consensus of many was to immediately euthanize Charlie. His foster Mom however, could handle him and was willing to take Charlie as far as he could go, so he's still at Camp Ginger.

He's on intermittent pain meds; he can have one day when he can barely move and just when we think he's had enough he pops up and runs around like the wind. He is capable of biting, so with us he stays until........?
