Urgent Needs
Urgent Needs - Successes!
- IN RESCUE: Three adult cats, owner entered nursing home. Family members plan to put cats outside and leave them behind
on Friday April 18. Two years old, Siamese and two Tabbies, siblings. Posted 4/13/08. Phoenix area.
Update: Sadly, this family did not return dozens of calls, and the cats have been abandoned outside.
One has been captured and brought to safety; we will likely have the other two very soon. They still need a foster or permanent home. These cats have
never been outside, recently lost their human mom, and have been treated very unkindly and uncaringly, by members of their human's family. However, the first
cat blossomed in less than 24 hours into an affectionate, grateful lovebug! They are getting a second chance, thanks to the dedication of a very nice neighbor who is
feeding them and gaining their trust. These cats are young and healthy, and would make excellent companions.
Urgent Update 5/16/08: These cats were all captured again and have been in foster, but their second chance at
rescue has fallen through. They are headed for the Humane Society on Monday unless we can find them other foster or permanent homes. Being adults in a shelter during
kitten season offers them little chance of placement. The AHS shelter does euthanize for space. The cats are only 2 years old, very clean, healthy, and loving! Won't
you please help? Extremely time sensitive!
Update 5/17/08: They are now safe with Paw Placement!
