Welcome to New Homes 4 Animals!

who we are

New Homes 4 Animals is an all breed rescue organization located in Southern California. We are dedicated to enhancing the lives of neglected, abused, and abandoned animals in our community. Millions of pets are put to sleep each year due to overpopulation and animal neglect. Our rescue program focuses on caring for homeless animals in Southern California, by providing proper care, treatment, and shelter in a safe and loving environment. The New Homes 4 Animals adoption program works to find permanent placement of homeless cats and dogs in loving, caring homes.

New Homes 4 Animals is run entirely by like-minded individuals who volunteer their time and resources to help save the lives of these animals. We work independently, but also partner, pull and place animals with other reputable rescue groups in the community. We believe the more local rescue groups effectively communicate with each other, the more effectively we will be able to help those that cannot speak for themselves.

Since 2002, we have successfully placed over 250 animals in loving homes and have fostered close to 400 animals.

mission statement

To care for and re-home unwanted animals

To help eliminate abuse of domestic animals

To decrease euthanasia by promotion of adoptions of unwanted animals

To provide education in the private sector of the importance of spaying and neutering

We believe that all life has value. All animals have right to health and happiness. In our program we look for "FOREVER" homes

New Homes 4 Animals is dedicated to the following goals

Our primary goal is to help anyone who is considering a pet make adoption their first, and only, option

Rescuing stray animals from animal shelters who have not been adopted and are now on death row. These animals are often moments away from being euthanized when we are contacted to intervene

Providing medical care to neglected, abused and injured animals

Rehabilitating hard-to-adopt animals and finding them loving homes

Providing spay and neuter services in order to drastically reduce the number of unwanted animals on the street

Educating children and adults alike on responsible pet guardianship

That there will be no more homeless animals

why we do it

12 million animals are euthanized each year in the United States

That is 1 million a month

1,388 animals an hour

New Homes 4 Animals volunteers work tirelessly to decrease this statistic.

Rescue is 95% education.

what we do

Our primary focus is finding safe, loving homes for unwanted, neglected and/or abused companion animals. These animals may be found on the streets, relinquished by their owners, or even found in local animal shelters (pounds) and could be loving pets but are about to be put to sleep due to overcrowding, illness, or disease.

All animals will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, tested and healthy before they are placed for adoption into new homes. This will be the main focus of all of our activities. It provides the public with the service of humane rescue of animals and saves the lives of animals that are in need. These animals will be placed into the homes of our volunteers to be cared for until they are adopted and placed into their new permanent homes. These permanent homes are found either through adoption events or via the internet.

Our primary focus is finding safe, loving homes for unwanted, neglected and/or abused animals. When we find animals wandering the streets, we take them to local shelters to give their owners a chance to claim them. If no owner appears, we take the animals into our possession. We also rescue dogs and cats from local animal shelters (pounds) who could be loving pets but are about to be put to sleep due to overcrowding, illness or disease.

Either way, New Homes 4 Animals takes particular care in placing our animals, pure and mixed breed alike. The bottom line in rescue is that when we make a mistake, it is the animal who pays the price.

Our screening process includes an application, reference checks and a visit to the potential owner's home to ensure the home and family is compatible with the pet's needs and our requirements. We ask adoptive owners to sign a contract obliging them to contact us if they cannot provide for the animal or if they find they cannot keep the animal.

Everything we do is done in the best interest of the animals we care for so please understand that.

how we do it

New Homes 4 Animals is run entirely by volunteers who are dedicated to raising funds, fostering and caring for the animals and participating in weekend mobile adoptions until homes are found for these great pets.

New Homes 4 Animals relies on foster homes which introduces animals into a family environment and gives them the love they crave. This is also a vehicle for potential adoptive parents to "test drive" an animal to see if it fits into their family dynamic, while allowing New Homes 4 Animals to be able to rescue other animals needing homes. We do not keep animals in a "shelter" or "boarded" in a kennel or at a vets office as we believe that is to the detriment of an animal. The are all in a home environment while awaiting placement.

New Homes 4 Animals has weekly mobile adoptions for our animals where we show off our great animals and interview potential parents.

New Homes 4 Animals spays or neuters every animal we take in, gives them required vaccinations and microchips each animal to ensure if they are ever lost, we will always be contacted.

We endeavor to stay in the black while accomplishing our work.
