Who We Are

Villalobos Rescue Center is a rescue, rehabilitation and placement facility for abused and abandoned pitbulls. Many of them come to us physically and mentally abused.

Unbelievably, these horror stories are all too common. VRC works ceaselessly to give pitbulls another chance in life. Each and every dog taken in is spayed or neutered and given necessary medical treatment. We work patiently to reacclimate fearful dogs to the loving care of a human, so that they may eventually be adopted. In some cases, these dogs have never had a kind word or touch, and it is a slow process. After determining temperaments and compatibility factors, we begin that long search for the perfect home.

The placement process is extremely slow. Unfortunately pitbulls are their own worst enemy - their loyalty and devotion make them the perfect victim and dog of choice for gang members and drug dealers. Others see them as a status symbol - guard dog, attack dogs or simply a dog to chain up in the backyard. Have we already forgotten about Petey? He was the loyal ring-eyed dog of the Lil Rascals.














Adopting a Friend

If you are interested in adopting a dog from VRC, please contact our shelter to set up an appointment to visit our facility. The adoption process involves filling out an application form which will be discussed with a VRC staff member in order to determine the most appropriate match for your household. A home check must be completed as well. When you adopt a dog from us all are spayed/neutered, microchipped and current on all shots. You also receive lifetime free training with one of our trainers or our training class plus free boarding if you should need to go on vacation. All this for a low adoption fee of $150! And let's not forget the most important part.....you receive a lifetime companion who will love you unconditionally.
