How to Volunteer

There are many ways to volunteer. Stop by the shelter during regular hours (12-5 p.m., Wed.- Sun.) and fill out an application. Here are some ways you can help:

Walk Dogs
Get in shape while helping the dogs to relieve some stress. There is a beautiful walking path outside the shelter.

Sit with the Dogs
Just sitting with the dogs in their kennels and giving them some much needed TLC lets them know someone cares.

Visit with the Cats
Cats need attention too--they love to be petted and adored.

Become a Foster Home
Shelter dogs do much better in home settings than they do sitting in their kennels all day. If you have room to take in a dog, please consider this option.

Become a Behavioral Foster Home
If you have some dog training experience, help the shelter keep its euthanasia rate low by taking in animals with behavior issues and training them.

Take a Dog on a Field Trip
Dogs love to get out of the shelter and it's great for their mental well-being.
