Who does the walk
benefit?
C.A.T.A.L.E.S. Inc. is a
non-profit, no kill feline rescue group, which helps local communities with
unwanted stray and feral cats.
What is the money used
for?
Last year CATALES raised and
spent $61,000 to care for the cats in their care. $20,000 of that money was
used to pay for veterinary bills. Each cat that is rescued costs about $200 to
examine and vaccinate before he or she can be considered for adoption.
Much of the money raised from this walk will continue to support these efforts.
In addition, this past year
we have set up a board to design and build a separate building on private
property in
We have also broke ground on our memorial garden, which when complete
will consist of a spiral staircase and water feature. We will be placing
memorial bricks around the garden that people can purchase.
Lastly, a portion of the
money raised will be put aside for our emergency medical fund.
