FOGAS sponsored its first Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, May 13th at the Ellijay Civic Center where the Dept. of Parks and Recreation is located. Rector Victor H. Morgan from St. Luke's Episcopal Church officated over the blessing. This event is the first of what we hope will become an annual event. ETC was on hand to tape the event which was televised this past Tuesday. The photos for this article were taken by a FOGAS advocate of Rector Morgan and Bear, belonging to Bruce and Joan Boyce. Pepsi Cola donated beverages and Subway provided all the paper goods. A slice of pizza and beverage were served at $2 pp. All proceeds will go to benefit our local chapter animal control shelter.
