Adopt PAWS Cats at Area Petco Stores

Several of our shelter cats and kittens are available for adoption at the Coralville and Cedar Rapids/Marion Petco stores. Interested adopters should ask a Petco employee for an adoption form. The form will be faxed to PAWS for review, and the shelter will contact the applicant within 24 hours. Or if a morning or evening PAWS volunteer is on site, they can call the shelter to see if approval can be granted immediately. Or if the shelter is closed, they may be able to adopt on the spot if they approve your application.

We require that adopters take their new cats home in a carrier so there are no escapes/accidents in the parking lot. If they don't have a cat carrier with them, they can either go home and get it and pick their new cat up later, or buy a carrier or cardboard carrier at Petco (or elsewhere).

We can accept cash or checks, but NOT debit or credit cards., for cats adopted from Petco.
