ADOPTION
Our canine adoption fees include spay/neutering*,
rabies/distemper/parvo shots, worming, heartworm test, bordetella vaccine, flea
bath, ears cleaning, nail trimming, microchip registration PLUS a wonderful dog
or puppy...all this for only
$120!
Our feline adoption fees include
spay/neutering*, distemper vaccine, leukemia test, worming, FIV-FELV test, flea
bath, ears cleaning, nail trimming, microchip registration PLUS a loving cat or
kitten...all this for only
$85!
The above services would cost you well over $200 when done at a
veterinarians office or grooming salon, and we provide every bit the quality,
often by the same professionals. In other words, you are basically getting your
new pet for free!
* ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED OR NEUTERED IN
ACCORDANCE WITH STATE LAW and
if old enough, this is done prior to adoption. Otherwise, new owners are
responsible for arranging the procedure, and it is encouraged that they use a
veterinarian who participates in our spay/neuter program. Amounts charged by
the veterinarian above the program rate are the responsibility of the adopters,
so it is recommended that all costs be discussed with the veterinarian prior to
the surgery.
If you aren't
located nearby, please contact us before coming out to our facility - we
wouldn't want anyone to make a long trip just to find out the animal is already
adopted or our facility is closed. We adopt within a 200 mile radius, and do
not ship animals.
Remember - each
animal has a different personality; it is important to get to know it and make
sure it will be a good match for your family. We work with our residents to
make them indoor companion animals. However, some still may not be appropriate
for placement in homes with small children or other pets. Obedience classes are
suggested for puppies and most dogs. We take pride in being given the
opportunity to match you up with your new "forever friend".
Friends Forever Humane Society will adopt animals to the general
public without regard to race,
color, religion, sex, physical or mental disability, national origin, age, or
veteran status of military service.
