We Got A Grant For Ellie: $800 “Senior Pet Grant” from Petfinder Foundation Will Go Towards Her Adoption Fee & the Cost of Her Current Medication Treatment Plan for One Year!

For one beagle named Ellie, the dark and stormy night has passed. That's because she soared, minus a Peanuts' Snoopy style Sopwith Camel airplane, into the hearts of the Petfinder Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending the euthanasia of adoptable animals, including senior pets.
Why are we telling you this? Brave little Ellie the beagle has set up a temporary station at Bond County Humane Society's dog shelter, where she is awaiting a hound-loving person to become her Woodstock (or Charlie Brown, if you prefer). She will gladly use her beagle voice to tell you she's about eight years young and loves her dog chow, as well as sniffing the fields far and wide. Now she needs a walking companion who loves the breed or hound group and is enthusiastic about the many benefits of a calm adult pet.
To help get Ellie into the public eye, the Petfinder Foundation gave us a grant that will fund not only her adoption but one year of her medication! (Wow, they're so generous!) Because of her special health conditions and the fact that Ellie is so darn happy to see the people who visit her kennel (giving her a recurrent case of so-called happy tail), she will require life-long preventive care, including medication(s), a high-quality diet, and the standards of exercise and love.
Follow the link below to read more about Ellie and please fill out an adoption profile application if you think you want this precious girl to become a part of your family!
