Adoption Days are the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Saturdays of every month at Glen Carbon, IL PetSmart Store on Route 159 and the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month at Fairview Heights, IL PETCO Store on Route 159

Membership Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of every month starting at 7:30 pm at the Bond County Housing Authority Building in Greenville, IL at 220 East Winter Avenue (near the intersection with South Prairie Street). This is a new meeting location as of 2012! All members and potential members are welcome. If this is your first meeting, you may want to call and confirm.

$80.00 Entry Fee per golfer (Includes greens fees, cart, meals and drink card).
    Schedule of Events:
        Noon: Registration and Light Lunch.

        5:30PM BBQ Dinner plus Homemade Desserts
    Special Features: Mulligans, Prize for closest to pin, Skins Game ($20 team), 50/50 Raffle.

April 27, 2012 -- Puttin' On The Ritz For Fritz "Lasagna Dinner & Entertainment" 6:30PM - 9:00PM at First Presbyterian Church on Idler Lane in Greenville, IL. TICKETS: $15 for adults; $7.50 for children age 12 & younger. Tickets are currently on sale at Watson's Drug Store, Bradford National Bank, & Bond County Humane Society Office. Or call Gayle Wise at (618) 664-2149. YOU MUST BUY A TICKET BY APRIL 20th TO RESERVE YOUR CATERED DINNER PLATE! Dress is Business/Smart Casual.
          Our 3rd Annual Puttin' On The Ritz For Fritz Dinner and Show features talented music students from Greenville's High School. This exciting and delicious evening raises money that Bond County Humane Society can use to keep its doors open, perform its missions helping Bond County's neglected and abandoned pets, educating adults and children about their pets' health and needs, and reducing pet overpopulation by promoting spaying and neutering. BCHS is also raising money to build a larger, permanent shelter building which will house cats, dogs, offices, and meeting rooms all under one roof on South Elm Street. We will need volunteer set-up crews and servers for the dinner, so if you are interested, call BCHS at 618-664-4068 or Gayle Wise at 618-664-2149.

April 20 & 21, 2012 -- Garage Sale -- 8AM - 1PM each day @ BCHS Storage Building on very south end of South Elm Street in Greenville. We are currently looking for your donations of Garage Sale items -- gently used furniture, home & holiday themed decor, small appliances, children's toys/activities, etc (no clothes, please). You can call BCHS at 618-664-4068 or email bchs4pets@sbcglobal.net to arrange drop-off or pick-up of items any time between now and April 18. All proceeds of the April 20-21 sale will benefit Bond County Humane Society and our mission to help Bond County pets and to raise awareness and education about responsible pet ownership.

February 25, 2012 -- 3rd Annual Crazy Bowl: Shelter Style. Fun starts at 7:30PM @ 4th Street Lanes in Greenville. Spare some time to Strike up awareness! All proceeds benefit Bond County Humane Society. $20 per person includes 3 games and shoes. Couples play for $36. Family Package (of 4 people) is $65. You may register at Bond County Humane Society or 4th Street Lanes before the event or the night of the event.

January 14, 2012 -- Tony LaRussa and ARF's Stars to the Rescue Gala Show 2012 - Featuring music by Country music star Luke Bryan; Tom Johnston of the Doobie Brothers; Timothy B. Schmit from the Eagles; Conductor, composer, orchestrator, record producer John McDaniel; Broadway's Christopher Jackson; Singer/songwriter Lara Johnston. 6:30PM at Peabody Opera House (formerly Kiel Opera House) in St. Louis. PLEASE BUY YOUR TICKET DIRECTLY FROM BOND COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY. BCHS gets every dollar from ticket sales we personally sell.

December 10, 2011 -- Bake Sale & Photos with Santa Claus at Buchheit in Greenville - This is the 3rd year we've done this so get your pets and kids all holiday-ed up for the photos and bring your tastebuds for the cakes and cookies and brownies! And new this year, we feature our "Forever Homes For The Holidays" Sponsorship program. Donate $20 to sponsor a kitty waiting for a forever home and receive a holiday ornament with that cat's photo, a limited edition holiday photo book, and a letter thanking you for your donation!

We had to cancel our October BBQ Fundraiser. Please consider helping Bond County Humane Society in another way such as adopting a pet or donating financially to help build our large permanent Animal Shelter. Thank you for understanding.

September 17, 2011 -- 8th Annual Paws In The Park plus Wag-N-Walk. 8am - 5pm at Patriots Park near Greenville, IL. Pet contests, cutest pet photo contest (enter before Sep 16 - win around 4PM Sep 17), personalized paw prints (10AM-5PM), pet photograph tent (9AM-5PM), flyball demos (10AM+), police K-9 demos, microchipping clinic (1PM-3PM), agility course, raffles (enter all day - drawings approx 4PM), activities for children, face-painting, food sales! For the 2nd year, groomers from Pet Designs will be trimming (and possibly decorating!) dog nails for donations to BCHS. We are selling Fall Mums in flowerpots! We are also inviting vendors to set up this year, so bring your gifted dog, bring your gift shopping money too! If you ARE a vendor, please contact Rachel at 618-664-4068. Wag-N-Walk from 8AM-10AM. Contest Registration begins at 9AM. Blessing of the Animals at 9:30AM. Pet Contests begin at 11AM.

July 8, 2011 -- IGA Bar-B-Que. 10:00am - 2:00pm A fundraiser at lunchtime at Capri IGA in Greenville, IL. Since you have to eat anyway, come out and support the homeless animals in our care and the programs we share with our community such as low cost spaying & neutering. Plus, learn how to adopt your next cat or dog from BCHS.

June 4, 2011 -- Annual Rummage Sale. 8:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at First Presbyterian Church on Idler Lane in Greenville, IL. Usually held in April, but this year scheduling forced the move. To donate items call Gayle Wise at (618) 664-2149.

May 20, 2011 -- 2nd Annual Puttin' On The Ritz For Fritz: Building Fundraiser.
6:30 PM - 9:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church on Idler Lane in Greenville, IL.
Join us for a delicious meal of lasagna and more served to you by candlelight in a formal setting. Outstanding entertainment provided by talented music students from Greenville's High School! Adults $15.00 and youth 12-and-under $7.00. For Reservations call Gayle Wise at (618) 664-2149 by Friday May 13, 2011. Tickets are also available at Bradford Bank, Watson’s Drug Store, and the Bond County Humane Society Office on South 4th St. in Greenville.

May 13, 2011 -- 18 Hole Golf Scramble: Fundraiser at Governors Run in Carlyle, IL.
- 8 AM registration. 9 AM tee time. Cost $80.
- A breakfast box will be given to every golfer to enjoy out on the course. BBQ luncheon on the deck following play. 2 free drink cards per player.
- Divided competitive flights: Women, Men, Mixed. Prizes awarded! Even if you think you're a terrible or inexperienced golfer, it's great fun to play with us for a great cause.
- REGISTRATION FORMS. Forms are also available at BCHS office. Deadline for Registration and Payment is May 6, 2011!

- If you are not a golfer you are invited to attend the luncheon at 1 PM. Cost to eat only is a special price for $15 each adult and $10 each child 12-and-under. Please call BCHS or Nancy Machmer to sign up for 'lunch only'.

April 10, 2011 -- Tales For Tails Story Telling Concert. 2:30 PM at First United Methodist Church at 310 South Second Street in Greenville, IL. Pam Chase, a local professional storyteller, will be the presenter. First half of 'concert' will feature tales for younger children (ages 4-8) and second half will feature tales chosen for older children and adults. Tickets will be available at the door. Ticket prices are $6 for adults, $3 for children and famlies of 4 or more will be $16.

March 27, 2011 -- 4th Annual Benefit Show & Dinner for BCHS In Memory of "Big" Danny Brassel. 1:00 PM - 5:00-ish PM at the VFW South Fourth Street in Greenville, IL. Featuring Food & Beverages available for sale: Chili, Soup, Hot Dogs, Nachos, Desserts. Live music and dancing, Silent Auction items and raffles. Admission tickets (Donation Adult: $10.00, Children 12 & under: $5.00) will be sold in advance and also at the door. All proceeds donated to Bond County Humane Society! Entertainment provided by The Elmo Linton Band along with Charlie Barnes. Also music by Charlie Barnes, Dave Korte, DJ McCaskey, Josh Rench, Mike Snodgrass, Russ Rench and Tammy Rench.

January 15, 2011 -- Tony LaRussa's Stars To The Rescue gala show, 7 p.m. at the Fox Theatre in St. Louis. Confirmed performers for this fabulous evening of music and entertainment are Billy Bob Thornton and the Boxmasters, Phantom of the Opera's Tim Martin Gleason, actor Kevin Pollak, St Louis Queen of Soul Kim Massie, country singers David Nail and Easton Corbin, plus St Louis formed rock band Story Of The Year. Please do not purchase your ticket through any online ticket brokers because BCHS members are currently selling tickets. Every ticket WE personally sell goes directly to funding our operations with the animals of Bond County.

December 11, 2010 -- Bake Sale plus Santa Photos 8:30am - 1:30pm at Buchheit's Country Superstore in Greenville. Come out, buy and enjoy delicious desserts, and help support the shelter animals in our community. Bring your pets and your kids for photos taken with Santa Claws, too. November 4, 2010 -- Quarter Raffle Auction at Cunettos Restaurant in Greenville. Doors open at 6:30 and auction starts at 7:00. Join us for a delicious Italian meal served to you by candlelight. Entertainment provided by "Standing Room Only", an acappella foursome from Bond County Unit 2 High School. Proceeds from the event will go toward building a brand new shelter for Bond County Humane Society.

Included is the popular Wag-N-Walk (9am-11am), Agility Course (walk or run your canine companion through the course. $3 per run or 3 runs for $5), $15 micro chipping clinic (1pm-3pm), ten (10) pet contests ($3 per category entered: Many New Contests This Year! Fastest Newspaper Fetch. Best Kisser. Best Trick-Best Series of Tricks. Best Barker/Howler. Prettiest Small Pure Breed. Prettiest Large Pure Breed. Prettiest Mix Breed. Best Dressed. Best Human/Canine Companion Look Alike), Photos, Raffles, Prizes, Food and more. Registration for contests and events begins at 11am. You may also use the FirstGiving website to allow your Wag-N-Walk sponsors to pledge and pay their donations online. And please take a moment to fill out our event survey!

August 8, 2009 -- BAKE SALE! benefitting Bond County Humane Society. 8am to 1pm at BUCHHEIT Country Superstore, 1400 E. City Rt. 40 Greenville. Our animals say, "We need more room!"

May 15, 2009 -- Spaghetti Dinner. 4:30pm-8:00pm at the Greenville VFW. $7 Adults ($3.50 Children ages 5-12). Dinner includes salad, spaghetti, garlic bread, dessert, tea & coffee. Takeouts are available.

April 4, 2009 -- 5th Annual Rummage Sale. 8am-11:30am at the First Presbyterian Church on Idler Lane in Greenville.

March 29, 2009 -- 2nd Annual Benefit in Memory of Danny Brassel. 1pm - ?? at the Greenville VFW. The fundraiser dinner and concert features Elmo Linton with special guest Charlie Barnes. Additional performers include Denver Linton, Chapman Brothers, Les Herrman, Josh Rench, Russ Rench and Tammy Rench. BCHS will have raffle tickets, food, drinks and more available for purchase. A variety of gift baskets will be part of a silent auction.
