Donate to Support BCHS
Remember, BCHS is an all-volunteer organization operating solely on membership dues, donations, fundraisers and grants and receives no funding from city, county, state or federal governments, or any other private organization. Bond County Humane Society is an independent entity not financially affiliated with nor financially backed by Humane Society of the United States. We need your direct local support to continue our efforts in helping the animals of Bond County. Together we can all make a difference. BCHS is an IRS approved 501(c)3 charitable organization so all donations are tax deductible in accordance with IRS guidelines.

Transfer Assets like stocks, bonds and mutual funds.

Easily transfer your Stocks, Bonds or Mutual Funds and help BCHS with our Permanent Shelter Building Fund or our day-to-day operational expenses.
Sponsor a "difficult to place for adoption" pet who has yet to find a home!
Sometimes a kitten or puppy comes into the care of Bond County Humane Society and it is initially too sick or too scared to become available for adoption right away.
This kitten or puppy grows up in our cat shelter or our dog kennel over several months. It is now healthy and wishing someone would notice him/her and want him/her for their very own.
BUT now it is an adult - not as cute and not as playful and not as indiscriminately affectionate as a younger animal. Many people pass him/her by each week. No one wants to adopt him/her when there is a baby animal
to add to a family instead. This is not the cat or dog's fault. But it is sad and it is expensive for us. It means that Bond County Humane Society is still paying money to feed him/her, paying money to
give him/her a bed to sleep on and vaccination shots and parasite prevention medication and toys to keep him/her mentally healthy and alert. Now you can help! You can choose a dog or cat to sponsor regularly each month and help support a pet in need until the perfect
family finally comes along to adopt it. Visit our list at Petfinder to meet the animals who need your help right now. Then call 618-664-4068 to find out more information about sponsoring a "difficult to place for adoption" pet still living in shelter care.
Kuranda Dog Beds
Our dogs love to sleep on Kuranda Dog beds, but we don't have enough for everyone. If you would like to donate a bed at a special wholesale price for a another
dog to sleep in comfort, please donate a Kuranda dog bed.
GoodSearch and GoodShop
When you search the web or shop online, GoodSearch and GoodShop automatically donate money to Bond County Humane Society.
All you need to do is set GoodSearch as your homepage or install the GoodSearch toolbar and remember to use them regularly
instead of other popular search engines (Actually GoodSearch uses Yahoo! Search so you'll still get great results).
And when you shop at over 1,000 online retailers, click through GoodShop first (there are usually great coupons there as well),
make your online payment as usual and GoodSearch will donate a percentage from the sale automatically. It's that easy!
The more people use GoodSearch on behalf of Bond County Humane Society, the more money we will raise!
Recycle For Rescue
Don't forget about the recycling program at Ted's Recycling (now at new location:
1164 Mulberry Grove Rd., Mulberry Grove -- south of the Interstate.) The account for donating to BCHS is still available. Recycling aluminum cans provides BCHS with a constant monthly income that is desperately needed to remain in business. If you don't already do so, please consider collecting your cans for this great cause!
Pennies For Puppies
The yearly Spring fundraising campaign involves Greenville Elementary School students as they collect Pennies for Puppies.
Homemade Dog Treats
Super volunteer Ashley Rench has been tireless in her support for BCHS. In March 2008, Ashley had collected over $100 in pennies. Now she is cooking up homemade dog treats that she sells at BCHS events and also at the Millersburg General Store. She donates every bit of her proceeds. If you have a dog who loves treats, support Ashley's cause. It's our cause too!
Memorial Wall Donation Plaque
Memorialize a relative, friend or animal companion with a plaque on the Memory Wall at BCHS. The name will be inscribed on a brass plate mounted on the wall in our office. Your donation will create a lasting tribute to your loved one and help extend the lives of animals in BCHS's care. There are three donation categories of plaques: Animal Friends ($25 - $100), Animal Lovers ($101 - $500), and Animal Sponsors ($501 and up).
Sponsor-A-Pet
To help a pet even if you can't adopt, click on an adoptable animal's PetFinder profile and register to donate an amount that will go directly to BCHS and directly to him/her! It costs an average of $180 to provide care for a pet while s/he waits for a home. Each small or large contribution enables a pet to get cared for until a new loving family comes along.
Firstgiving
Firstgiving.com is a fundraising tool, helping people donate to nonprofits online. It's quick, easy and safe. When we hold events such as the Wag-N-Walk (part of Paws In The Park), participants are encouraged to use Firstgiving, making it easy for their sponsors to contribute pledges.
