OUR TWO SPECIAL PAIRS

rhett and scarletta

Rhett & Scarletta

Meet Rhett and Scarletta!  These two came to us as a bonded pair- together their entire life!  Unfortunately, their owner passed away, leaving them very confused about why they were suddenly uprooted and moved from the comfort of their own home to a very long ride north. We understand that it must be very unsettling to go from kennel, to foster homes, and back at a kennel.
Although it will be hard, we just KNOW there is a family out there that has a heart and a home that is large enough for both of them. We believe Scarletta is a bit older than Rhett-possible a sibling from an earlier litter. She is quieter, and follows his lead. Rhett still has a lot of play in him, and although he doesn’t seem to know how to play, he will play tug-o-war with a pull toy if you engage him to do so.

Meet Myrtle and Mable! Another bonded pair, who just like Rhett and Scarletta, lost their owner due to death.  These ladies are no trouble at all.  Now, they just need a place to lay their heads, eat a simple meal or two each day, and lick your face for undying appreciation. They are coming from far south, from a foster who says they are so easy to care for. We believe these are a mother and daughter team, who have obviously never been separated.
Perhaps you are that family who said, “I am going to take a dog that no one else would consider adopting”, well, is it just a little bit possible you could take 2 easy going ladies who appear to be very healthy?

When dealing with a bonded pair situation, Reach Out Rescue understands that an adoption of this magnitude does not happen every day.  We work with our adopters with special pricing to give our bonded pairs the best chance of going to their new home still together, for the rest of their lives.  PLEASE, if there is any chance at all that you could be that very special family to give either of these 2 pairs a new place to call home, apply for them as first and second choice and put it in your responses that you are willing to take both. Every member in the rescue has their “paws crossed” that you apply today!

FOSTERS NEEDED

Because of wonderful foster parents we are able to rescue dogs in need like Hugo shown in the picture below.  Hugo is a charming two year old who loves to play and cuddle.  Hugo has seizures but is on medication to control them and isn't slowed down a bit.  We have many other dogs needing a foster.

Won't you consider being a foster?  Click on the picture for more information.

Black Dog Success Story

At RORR we are all about helping senior dogs, black dogs and hound dogs.  One of our long term rescues has just been adopted

From Pepper's Foster Mom:  "Pepper is a very special girl and it is strange to see her room empty. She definitely came right out of her run and went right up to her new dad. There was no hesitation at all. She acted as if she knew them her whole life. Getting our longer term dogs homes is awesome. "

JAZZ ADOPTED! WILLOW ADOPTED!

"We've only had her 9 days, but I think she's decided to stay.. We've renamed her Maggie Magpie and she would gladly sleep in bed (on top of us) with us if we let her.. She is such a good dog and a blessing for us."
Thanks to RORR this sweet girl will be loved forever!!

I had a very busy day today… I think I went out for 5 walks…I get cold so we walked and went in by the fire and a nap, then back out again. I got to explore the barn today…BIG dogs in there! Their food is greenish-brown squares and stacked up so when I sniffed at it I got my nose pricked! I didn't want to eat or drink water today and my mom was worried, but tonight she put some liquid good stuff on my food and I just had to eat it. I still don't feel like drinking water though. Tomorrow will be more quiet because it will rain… then I will have to go outside to potty in the wet! I have soft bed in the kitchen where everything happens and one in the bedroom upstairs. Life is Good….
