I realize that any false information could result in the forfeiture of a cat. I understand that the adoption fees are non-refundable. I understand that RPC cannot guarantee the health or temperament of any animal.

The following questions are designed to help you thoroughly understand the responsibilities of the lifetime commitment you are about to make. Please answer all the questions honestly. The management, to make sure that this adoption is in the best interest of both you and the animal, will review this application.
A cat may live up to 20 years. Are you committed to provide care for an animal for that length of time? Yes No
Responsibile pet owners see that pets get yearly booster shots and are kept free from intestinal parasites. Pet care is costly: $200-$400/year. Can you make this financial commitment to a pet? Yes No
Pets need food and water. A pet needs to be part of the family. Will you provide the love and attetion this animal deserves for the rest of its life? Yes No
Cute, cuddly kittens grow into adult cats, sometimes with few characteristics in which they begin life. If adopting a kitten, will you provide a good home, regardless of any undesirable traits it developes? Yes No

Please call the shelter (207)743-8679) to place a cat on hold and to let us know that you are submitting an application. A cat can be held for you for one week.
Application approval takes between 24-48 hours depending on how soon your references and veterinarian can be reached. You will be notified by phone.
