You Can Help
No Cost/Low Cost Ways to Help
Volunteer
There are many things we need help with, such as cleaning cages, washing litter pans, brushing cats, and doing laundry. We also need reliable people to drop off and pick up animals at the vet's for medical appointments. We can always use extra help with our many fundraising events. Children under 16 may volunteer if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Organizations are welcome, but must schedule a time for service.
Recycle
- Give us your old towels, face cloths, and blankets
- Donate your returnable bottles and cans. If you live in the Oxford Hills community you can bring your returnable bottles to Don's Redemption Center on Cottage Street in Norway. Let the good people at Don's know that you want the money to go to Responsible Pet Care.
- Donate your unwanted, but still serviceable, household treasures to our thrift shop, Pawsibilities.
Shop On-Line
Whenever you shop on-line at www.igive.com/rpc a portion of the total of your purchase is donated to Responsible Pet Care. There are more than 700 on-lines stores to shop at. Many of your favorite stores are listed. You will save $5 with your first purchase.
Planned Giving
Talk to your lawyer about leaving a gift to Responsible Pet Care when you are planning your estate. Provisions can be made to leave money, property and/or stocks to a designated beneficiary. For more information about planned giving email sboyce@megalink.net.
Become a Foster Parent
We are often in need of foster homes for orphaned or debilitated cats that require the extra care they can only receive in a loving home environment. If you would like to become a foster home for cats or kittens, please contact us at 207 743-8679. Responsible Pet Care assumes all responsibility for the cost of medical care for fostered cats.
