WELCOME

Responsible Pet Care is a small feline shelter and adoption center located in Norway, Maine. We provide a home for cats and kittens that have been abandoned or surrendered by their owners until they are placed into homes.

We are a no-kill, non-profit shelter. All of the cats and kittens in our care need permanent homes and are available for adoption.

"I literally owe my life to the good people at Responsible Pet Care. I was found wandering the street in the middle of winter. I was cold and near death. When I arrived the caretakers looked passed my mangy coat and dirty face. They saw the cat I used to be and treated me with dignity.

There were some close calls for me but I pulled through. Now I am king of the office.

You might laugh if you could see my belly that drags on the floor when I walk, but the people here love me and tell me I'm handsome. I'm such a lucky cat.

There are plenty more cats just like me at the shelter. I hope you will read our website and visit the cats that need homes.

Cats are social animals. They enjoy the attention of visitors. Even our shy cats need to learn how to interact with people before they can be placed into a home. We encourage you to visit the cats.
