A good samaritan woman provided food and bedding to a pack of dogs that have been staying
in an abandoned building, and was especially concerned when on November 14, 2006
one of them (we named Shelly) gave birth to 4 puppies.
She contacted Precious Pets Adoption League asking if we could save this little bundles
of joy from the cold weather.
Aaron, already fostering many dogs, could not refuse so needed help. He brought home Shelly, her sister Yodel, and the 4 puppies. Our veterinarian examined the whole family and after few weeks we were given OK to put the puppies for adoption. The picture to the right shows the puppies during this period. Suki was last of two puppies adopted in March 2007.
Precious Pets Adoption League has also adopted out Shelly and Yodel together! They love and care for each other. We are so happy to be part of these happy adoptions.
Suki's new family sent us few photos (posted below).
"Hi, we adopted our (Shar Pei/Shepherd) mix pup whom we have now named "Suki"
from your adoption event this past weekend at Petco, we just wanted to say
thank you from the bottom of our hearts she has been a wonderful addition to our family.
"Suki's" personality is really starting to bloom, I do have to say she is very layed
back for her age. "Suki" enjoys playing dress up and loves all of her new chew toys.
She likes to sleep in bed with my husband and I at night and enjoys taking long naps
during the day on her new doggy bed or in her crate, can you believe she goes in her
crate all by herself to nap, play with her toys or an occasional getaway from her busy
life (after all it's hard being a puppy). The kids were very happy when we brought her
home they couldn't stop hugging or kissing her and "Suki" soaked it all in.
Thanks to your organization for helping "Suki" find her forever home here with us, we love her lots she is a very sweet little girl and she seems to like it here as well. Here are some pics of "Suki" enjoy.
Sincerly, The L... Family"
