Happy Stories of Adopted ARC Pets that make all the rescues so worthwhile...
SISSY
Sissy was originally found as an unclaimed stray, emaciated, suffering from
a severe upper respiratory infection, and pregnant. She had 9 kittens - all healthy and adopted!
ARC then brought in Sissy who quickly recovered into a happy, outgong and healthy sweetheart cat.
Sissy was with ARC for over a year, always greeting visitors and taking care of incoming cats.
Finally, Sissy was seen by Anna and it was a perfect match!
We're told Sissy, now named Frannie is very playful in her new home and loves to carry on a conversation with her family.
We miss sissy, but know she has an even better life with a caring dedicated home. THANKS!
PENELOPE
An ARC volunteer was at a small pet store when a man walked in trying to give away this beautiful guinea pig.
This cavy was friendly and enjoyed attention. Right away, the volunteer thought Ben would be the perfect
owner for the guinea pig. Ben is an intelligent young man who also cares about his small pets. ARC
gave him a packet of information on guinea pig care (make sure they eat food made for ginea pigs!).
Now Ben sends us updates on Penelope and we know she is in the best home!
Fun Fact- Penelope is the name of the cat girlfriend of the cartoon skunk Pepe LePew!
