Pound Pals

Our Pound Pal of the month is Tate. Tate's a senior sheltie who was brought to the pound as a stray with a mouth full of rotten teeth. His dental care had been neglected for so long that his gums were eroding away from his decaying teeth. Some were so loose they seemed like they could fall out on their own. He could barely eat canned food and even had to do that slowly. He often whimpered during his dinner due to the pain the simple act of eating caused him. He needed to have many teeth extracted to alleviate his pain and is on an antibiotic regimen that should restore him to better health than he's known in a while.

Every donation to pound pals means one more "forgotten" animal will receive the medical care they need. Like Tate. Sadly though, Tate is one of five animals in need of emergency medical care this month alone. Without the funds to pay the vet bill, these animals would have little chance of survival, and we would never have the chance to get to know how special they are.
