Midwest Small Breed Rescue

Harley is a sweet, but shy ~3 year old Yorkshire Terrier mix. She is very devoted to her family and loves to cuddle, especially under a blanket. You will never be lonely again, as Harley will follow you around the house, even to the bathroom!

Harley is very timid with new people and situations. It takes her some time to warm up and she will require continuous socialization, exposure, and positive reinforcement. Because of this, she will only be able to go to a home with older (12+) or no children. Harley would do best with another small to medium sized dog to play with and help boost her confidence. But at home, Harley is boss dog, so an alpha dog sibling would not be best. She has not been tested with cats but I do not foresee any issues.

We are still working on crate training but Harley would prefer a human to sleep with at night and a home where someone is around most of the time.

She is considered a special needs adoption. Harley has experienced a few seizures and may require additional veterinary care or medications in the future.

Harley is approximately 10 pounds. She recently had a dental (March 2021). Smaller dogs tend to require additional dental care, in addition to regular vaccinations and year round heartworm treatment.

Harley’s adoption fee is $375.
