We have a HUGE need for foster homes! There are sooo many animals needing a place to stay while they look for their new forever home. Please, won't you consider opening your home and heart to an animal in need? Foster homes are needed for dogs and cats, puppies and kittens! Fostering is such a wonderful experience. Knowing you helped to save a life and seeing your foster animal blossom in your care is such a wonderful and uplifting feeling. You decide which animals to foster and how often. We supply all the vet care, food and other supplies needed to care for your foster animal. Please click here to complete our Foster Home Application. Once completed, our Foster Coordinator will be in touch and tell you more about the program.

Who We Are...
Happy Tails Rescue was founded in January 2005. We are an all volunteer non-profit 501(c)3 no-kill animal rescue organization. We work to find loving forever homes for the many homeless animals out there. Along with most rescue groups, we believe there is an enormous problem with pet overpopulation. We only adopt within 60 miles of the twin cities and do not adopt out of the state of Minnesota. Our adoption fees include the spay/neuter of our cats and dogs, current on vaccinations, tested for heartworm/feline leukemia/fiv and microchip of age appropriate dogs. We foster all of our animals and live with them in our homes as if they were our own companions. We can only help as many animals as we have foster homes for, so if you could open your home and hearts to just one animal, one time, that is one more life we can save... |

Hi my name is Gertie and I seriously need your help badly. I had a foster home set up for me and by the time we found out that they were no longer able to help, it was too late and now I'm stuck in a jail cell (boarding). I am too old and have been through too much to have to go through this, I am one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet and all I want is a nice family to take me into their home, give me some love and a roof over my head until my new forever home comes along.
