After the tragic loss of our family pet, we had agreed that we'd wait until spring before adopting another. But the absence of a dog in our house was painfully evident, so I subscribed to the email service on Petfinder just to be reminded that there are lots of dogs out there and we'd be able to find one we could fall in love with when the time came. Then came an email notifying me of the addition of an extra large puppy available in my area. "Reno" (as he was called then) was too much to resist. It seemed the time had come sooner than expected. Two days and one visit to the shelter's adoption event later, our family was made whole again. "Crash" as he is now known has all of us wagging our tails! Thank you, Petfinder.
