Volunteers are needed to
provide foster care for animals
to provide a safe haven until they are adopted.
Please complete this section if you are interested in
providing a foster home.
All animals need socialization,
playtime, bath-grooming, medical attention.
We have short-term foster positions available for animals
that will be transported to other approved rescue groups.
These animals will need to be quarantined for at least 14
days prior to their transport date.
Animals with special needs such as heartworm disease may
require a long-term foster home.
Heartworm treatments require a 6 to 8 week commitment and
longer if the animal must also be spayed or neutered.
All
medication, vaccines and vet care will be provided by Save1Pet.
All animals are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested
(for dogs), feline leukemia tested (for cats),
given Frontline for flea/tick protection, and are on heartworm prevention prior
to adoption.
Save1Pet
will provide the pet’s food if requested.

Volunteers are needed
to help at adoption days, fundraisers, and other special
events.
Please complete this section if you are interested in
helping in this manner.
We are looking for volunteers
to help load, unload and transport the animals to and from the adoption days,
fundraisers and special events. Set-up and tear-down of the event site help
is also needed.
Please remember to clean up
any mess the animals have made or any of the volunteers. Many of the stores
and parks we visit appreciate us leaving the premises as we found them, clean.

I,
the undersigned, individually and/or as a parent/guardian of the below listed
name, do personally and on the behalf of a minor, assume all risks and hazards
incidental to such activities.
I, the below
named Volunteer, understand that Save 1 Pet, Inc. and its representatives have
limited information regarding the temperament and habits of the animals under
its care and ownership. As a Volunteer for Save 1 Pet, Inc., I agree to take
all reasonable precautions (through the use of crates, leashes, supervision,
and common sense) to ensure that the animal does not run loose, become a
nuisance, destroy property, injure or be injured by another animal, be injured
by any person, or injure me or another person.
By becoming a
Volunteer, I hereby waive, release, discharge, and hold harmless Save 1 Pet,
Inc. and its agents, employees, directors, representatives and other
volunteers charged or chargeable with liability, their heirs, administrators,
executors, successors, and assigns, from any and all claims, damages, costs,
expenses, loss of services, actions, and causes of actions, whether known or
unknown, belonging to me, my agents and assigns, due to any action or
occurrence or damage which arises in connection with my volunteer activities,
including, but not limited to dog bites to me by a Save 1 Pet, Inc. animal.
Furthermore, I agree to pay Save 1 Pet, Inc. any and all expenses, including
court costs and reasonable attorney fees, incurred in enforcing the terms and
provisions of this agreement.
The UNDERSIGNED
hereby acknowledges having read this Waiver and does hereby agree to abide to
its terms as set forth above.
