                                  Blessed Beginnings

                            Maggie

This is a very special month for a couple of Big Sky Rottweiler Rescue volunteers. Their family is celebrating the anniversary of Maggie’s adoption in 2000. Maggie was Ann’s first Rottweiler…and an answer to her prayers.

A couple of months after starting to pray for a dog, Maggie walked up to Ann while she was out for a walk. Maggie followed Ann home. Although Maggie was re-united with her owner, Ann discovered the owner was looking for a new home for Maggie. Ann didn’t hesitate, she took her home and they became inseparable.

A few months later, Maggie’s former owner set Ann up on a blind date with Tom. A year later Ann and Tom were married. Because of their love for Maggie, Tom and Ann became involved with Big Sky Rottweiler Rescue and eventually adopted Amos, Niki, and Rebel. Isn’t it amazing how one little Rottie girl changed and blessed their lives?

We hope you, too, will find a Rottie darling to change and bless your life!

Welcome to the Big Sky Rottweiler Rescue home page.  Please feel free to look around.  Our goal is to re-home unwanted Rottweilers and educate the public about the breed.  We are a 501c3 group.   Most of us are located in Montana but we try to help the Rottweilers in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, North Dakota and South Dakota.   We have few fosters and try to help those re-homing their Rottweilers through referrals.  Their temperaments have been evaluated to the best of our ability and all dogs are spayed or neutered before placement.  We would be happy to refer you to trainers or help with suggestions to help you keep your Rottweiler.   If you would like our help in placing your Rottweiler, we request that all dogs are spayed/neutered, before we assist in placement. Any individual or entity wishing to surrender a dog to Big Sky Rottweiler Rescue (BSRR) will be responsible for arranging transport of said dog to the BSRR foster that has agreed to take the dog.
