View our youtube video of our JJ!
JJ is an adorable cocker spaniel that we discovered, as my husband built a swingset , loves to slide. We foster for Charlotte Cocker Rescue and have only had him at our house 24 hours and have been amazed at how fast he is learning manners and tricks as seen in the video. He runs up the slide and loves to turn around and slide down to only repeat it again. He's an active fellow that loves his people and other dogs. Please share this video to spread awareness of our work as well as the many animals in need in shelters everywhere. The economy has been hard on our 4 legged friends as well as they are left homeless, too. Charlotte Cocker Rescue, where great dogs find great homes

Our Sponsor Page for our Cockers with extreme medical conditions.
Rarely do fully vetted, healthy dogs end up in rescue. Instead the majority of the dogs who come to our rescue have little or no known history of vet care. Exams, vaccines, heartworm and fecal testing, spaying/neutering, grooming, heartworm pills and flea control, and daily care for an unvetted dog in good health costs an average of $250 for the first 4 - 6 weeks in rescue. Many dogs stay in rescue much longer than that and the costs continue to rise. Therefore, when a dog comes to our rescue with extra medical needs such as heartworm treatment, surgical, dental, or other needs the funds must come from sources other than adoption fees alone. This is where sponsors come in. Sponsorship is critical in addressing these extra medical needs. Folks, any amount, even Ten Dollars is so much appreciated. Please give, so we can give these cockers the medical attention they need. Please read their stories below and feel free to contact us for more information concerning any of the dogs on this page.

Eve & her puppies need your help immediately!
Eve and her puppies found themselves in a high kill shelter and very pregnant. CCR was contacted on Christmas Eve by a good samaritan who knew that Eve and her puppies deserved a chance at a better life. Eve is a precious, very small tri colored female cocker spaniel thought to be about 5 years old. She has recently given birth to 3 darling little female puppies. The puppies are still very tiny (1 week old today, 1/1/10) they don't resemble their cocker spaniel mother so we aren't sure who their daddy was. As the puppies grow we will get a better idea of their lineage. In the mean time Eve is a good little mother, taking good care of her babies.
We are very greatful that the puppies are healthy because their mother was up against some very tough odds. It was obvious that Eve hadn't received any care as she was in deplorable condition having heart worms, an ear infection, dirty, filthy and matted, horrible teeth when she arrived. She is such a sweet little girl who is just so greatful to be in a warm and loving enviroment to raise her puppies. As soon as she has weaned her puppies Eve will be treated for Heartworms and spayed and recieve a much needed dental; in the meantime her other medical issues have been taken care of and she will be groomed, fed, and loved.
All these babies (Eve included) would greatly appreciate a little extra help. As you can imagine their medical needs are great and CCR is looking for a few guardian angels to help these Christmas Miracles. If you can please donate through our PayPal button or contact the Carrabus Animal Hospital (704) 786-6102 to make your contribution.
We will be providing regular updates for Eve and her puppies so everyone can watch their progress and anticipate their adoption availability dates. We are projecting that each member of this little family will be available in early April, once the puppies have been weaned and spayed.
You can now sponsor the care of any of our available dogs quickly and easily by making a donation through PayPal with or without a PayPal account.
