Our Sponsor Page for our Cockers with extreme medical conditions.
Rarely do fully vetted, healthy dogs end up in rescue. Instead the majority of the dogs who come to our rescue have little or no known history of vet care. Exams, vaccines, heartworm and fecal testing, spaying/neutering, grooming, heartworm pills and flea control, and daily care for an unvetted dog in good health costs an average of $250 for the first 4 - 6 weeks in rescue. Many dogs stay in rescue much longer than that and the costs continue to rise. Therefore, when a dog comes to our rescue with extra medical needs such as heartworm treatment, surgical, dental, or other needs the funds must come from sources other than adoption fees alone. This is where sponsors come in. Sponsorship is critical in addressing these extra medical needs.
Folks, any amount, even Ten Dollars is so much appreciated. Please give, so we can give these cockers the medical attention they need. Please read their stories below and feel free to contact us for more information concerning any of the dogs on this page.

Our dear Freddie has bilateral cherry eyes!

Freddie is an adorable black 1 year old male cocker spaniel who has bilateral cherry eyes. He was spotted roaming the neighborhood for several days. The family decided they could not risk it any longer or something terrible might happen to this boy. No owner ever was found and after a month they contacted rescue for help.
Freddie will be neutered and seen by our vet to bring him current on his vaccines. Like all puppies Freddie is very active and he will need someone who is willing to devote the time and energy that it will take to train him how to be a wonderful companion and family member. We would highly recommend obedience training (positive) in order to start his life off right and build a strong relationship between Freddie and his new owner. He is dog social and seems to really like men. He is a very happy loving boy ! How about adopting him!
His treatment is estimated to cost $300.00. If you could contribute any amount, please use the PayPal button below. If you wish you can use the Contact Us Link and email us concerning other methods of donating. Freddie the puppy thanks you for your kindness. .

Please help our senior girl Slippers!

Dental work is needed badly for Slippers who is an adorable 8 yr old black female cocker spaniel. She lost the only home she has ever known because the elderly couple she knew as her family all her life could no longer care for her. Slippers has gone through a period of mourning really missing her family but she has since come out of her shell and is a happy happy girl! Some may think that Miss Slippers is past her prime but that is far from the truth. She has many more years where she will delight her new family with her energetic and charming self. Because of her previous life style we would prefer not to place her in a home with small children. Slippers would be a great companion for a family with grown children or a retired couple who are looking for a walking buddy. Do you think you would be a good choice for Slippers? If so, please complete an application and indicate that you are interested in Slippers.

Please help our new rescued girl Mary !

Mary Ann is a petite buff and white parti cocker spaniel with bilateral cherry eyes. Our vet estimates her to be 1 to 1 1/2 yrs old. Mary Ann was picked up as a stray and the shelter was unable to find her a home. When her time was up, and the shelter called for help, CCR sprang into action to save this little girl's life.
She is a very sweet girl and has now been spayed and luckily she was heart worm negative and is now current on shots. We would like to have her eyes taken care of quickly unfortunately we need to raise some additional money, about $325.00, to make this happen. If you can help please donate by clicking on our paypal button at the bottom of the page. Mary Ann sends kisses of thanks!
