Captain
Captain is one of NCSBGRR's past Urgent Needs Saints - His story is here.
It's only been a few days, but Captain seems to be settling in pretty good.

Today was the first day of accumulating snow,
he did not want to be outside,
he ran back into the house as fast as he could.
Mary and Captain
Captain Update
We wanted to bring everyone up to date on Captain - sadly Captain isn't with us anymore. His age and physical condition from so many years of questionable care finally caught up with him.
Mary gave Captain what in my opinion was the best year of his life, it's not everyday someone actually has a heart large enough to even care for an older dog, much less going to the extremes that Mary did.
We all knew he didn't have a lot of years left in him, but that didn't cause anyone to falter in the least when it came to joining together to get this boy where he needed to be.
You know, for a dog that was 'beyond hope' as they said at the shelter, he did all right.
I just wanted to let you know that the world has one more Saint watching over us.
Clearly he had found a home with Mary, but you know, he managed to find a special place in quite a few hearts.
Mileigh
We adopted Mileigh 2 years ago this November and could not have asked for a better saint...or should I say human saint!
She sleeps on the couch like a human, opens doors like a human, sleeps on the bed like a human and gives unconditional love and affection like a human.
She loves her two sisters, Millie (dachshund) and Emily (lab). They spend all day lounging and when they decide to get up and play they love to wrestle. It is so cute to watch them wrestle each other and get each other worked up. Thank you for helping us find our Mileigh... from day one we treated her as another addition to the family and we spoil her lots!
