_HELP!_  J & J is very much in need of financial assistance.  We have many homeless dogs to vet & care for!

About J&J's Homeless Pet Rescue

J and J's Homeless Pet Rescue is a non-profit organization and now has its 501(c)3 tax exempt status. We depend solely on public donations and adoption fees for financial survival. No contribution is too small, and your donations are tax-deductible! We have no paid employees. Contributions, fund raising and our own personal out-of-pocket money is how we take care of all the animals.

We are the only non-profit rescue in Beaufort County that currently houses animals for adoption. All the animals in our care receive everything they need as far as medical care, food, shelter, flea and tick prevention and heartworm prevention.

 Special Microchip Project

We'd like nothing better than for all lost pets to make it safely home – and a significant step toward that goal is the ability to implant and detect microchips in all pets in our system. To that effect J and J's Homeless Pet Rescue has started a program through PetPoint data base management to microchip animals prior to adoption. This will be accomplished through 24PetWatch. This program is now up and running. Every animal adopted from J and J's Homeless Pet Rescue now also has a 30 day gift of Pet Health Insurance through Shelter Care included with every adoption. We think this is a wonderful gift to our new adoptive families.

Transport Volunteers NEEDED!

Transport Volunteers Always Needed!
J and J needs your help! Please let us know you'd be willing to help transport animals from shelters to safety of a rescue or to their new adoptive home. J and J has been expanding its network of rescues & desperately needs volunteers to help with life saving transport.

Please call or email us to learn more about how you can help. Recently a volunteer for J and J's rescued an English Cocker Spaniel from a shelter in South Carolina. She now lives the good life here thanks to transporters with huge hearts.

A Special Thank You To PilotsN Paws * All Our Rescue Partners!

Our volunteers at J and J's Homeless Pet Rescue have partnered with northern rescues and have successfully moved over 100 needy animals to safety in 2009. Several Pilots from PilotsNPaws have helped us in our effort to save lives. We want to thank all of our rescue partners and pilots who have helped us so tremendously this year!

J & J's  Building Fund For Our Future Sanctuary

We are looking for a suitable piece of property to be donated on which to build our rescue facility. Land wanted to build a real sanctuary for homeless animals! If you know of a space that would be just right please contact us. J and J's is already accepting donations for our building fund. Beaufort County, NC needs a rescue sanctuary for homeless unwanted pets. This will be a no kill facility licensed by the State of North Carolina. We would love to be able to house over 100 animals in this new facility. As much as we would like to save all the homeless unwanted pets, with over 3,000 a year going through the local shelter, there is no way to save them all. We are looking forward to the day that we can have a rescue sanctuary where we can house and care for many more unwanted homeless pets. This is a huge undertaking and will require a lot of fund raising and support from the Beaufort County community. With your help J and J's can make this dream come true.

3000 animals are euthanized each year just in Beaufort County because of lack of education and funding for spay/neuter. Another goal of J and J's is to educate and provide funding to help facilitate spay/neuter. The plan for the rescue sanctuary includes a spay/neuter clinic. It is another huge project but again with your help can be made possible.
