Adoption fees generally range from $150 to $300 depending mainly on the medical and grooming costs involved in getting the dogs ready for their new home.

Some come to us so horribly matted it’s hard to tell if they have eyes and barely able to walk. Others abused and they must learn to trust again.

Once we discover what we have, we begin the vetting process -spay, neuter, dental cleanings, heartworm tested, brought up to date on their vaccinations, and dewormed.

Since the rescues live in a home setting and interact with our own precious fur-kids, we are better able to determine an environment we feel they would do best in. They share the food bowl, sleep, play and exercise together. By doing this, we’re better able to advise who might best fit in your household.

Your little one goes home with records to validate everything that has been done medically to them while in our care.

Everyone goes to their new home current on heartworm and flea prevention.

We want the adoption of a rescue to be one of those memorable moments of your life after all, this is a lifetime commitment.

Adoption Agreement

I agree to provide proper shelter at all times.

I also understand SCRATCH evaluates and describes each pet to the best of their ability. Therefore, I agree that I will accept full responsibility of my lifetime companion and his/her health at the time of adoption. I understand all the adoptions are final and there will be no cash refunds.

I also agree if I am no longer able to care and provide for my new pet, I will return him/her to SCRATCH for new home placement.
