We have many opportunities
available for those wishing to volunteer and help out
the animals at the shelter.
Our
volunteer efforts are coordinated by EASEL (www.easelnj.com).
Please contact EASEL to find out when the next
orientation session is. This is the best time for new
volunteers to come by, meet some of the staff and other
volunteers. New volunteers will get an idea of the kinds
of things that they can do to help the shelter.
Volunteers usually work with
socializing the dogs and cats in the shelter with the
goal of finding forever homes for these animals. All
volunteers must be at least 18 years old or accompanied
by an adult.
Volunteers who would like to
assist us but would rather not work with socializing the
animals can also help with various cleaning/repair
projects from time to time and other organizational
activities that always come up around the shelter.
Please email us to set up a
volunteering opportunity or to find out when our next
orientation will be.
