These items are done at reduced cost to the rescue. The fee for pulling an animal from CCSPCA will consist of fees for vaccines, spay/neuter surgery and other medical testing done on the animal. While our main
interest is to see the animal go to a rescue that can
adequately care for them until adoption, we must also recoop the monies put into the animal. Normally this is done with adoption fees, and so we must also ask rescues to help in covering these costs (and rescue will also receive an adoption fee when adopting the animal into a new home). Rescues
may request additional vaccines (rabies) or services (combo tests, microchips, etc) to be administered & we can
accommodate those requests for reasonable fees.
The CCSPCA currently has a low cost spay/neuter clinic. We try to arrange for the
animal being pulled to be spayed/neutered prior to leaving the facility. This is standard policy, excluding animals that may
be sick, injured, or otherwise unable to withstand
surgery prior to leaving the SPCA.
