Help make a difference

Make a difference for Indiana Jones and Sunshine

Indiana Jones was brought in by animal control having lost a battle with a fan belt. His face faired better than his rump, tail and well - let's just say he was partially neutered.  We've stitched him up, got rid of all infection and now Dr. Jones says his high adventure days are over. He wants to retire to someone's lap. He's probably about 1 year old.

Sunshine is about 10 months old or so and she has a nasty fracture of her right hind leg.  In spite of being in a new place and in some degree of pain, she has never once even growled or whimpered.  We are looking for a foster home for 6-8 weeks while Sunshine heals after her fracture repair on Tuesday. Special thanks to Dr. Ramsay at Cottonwood Clinic who will be doing the repair at a reduced rate for us.

Update:

Rio - We have treated him for his heartworms and he is in a wonderful foster home with Nina.  We are experimenting to see if a special  "bootie" on his mangled foot will be enough to keep him wound free.

Amputation still looks like it's in his future though.  We had a heartwarming response to his plight including enough funds to treat him AND a few others like Sunshine and Indiana!  Thanks to all who donated for the extra medical care for these animals.  It is such a relief to have some money in our Make A Difference Fund.

Thanks to you all for caring!  YOU are making a difference.
