This page is to help answer any questions you might have about HH4P, Inc.

Q. What is HH4P?

A. HH4P is a new organization that was formed in 2002 by a number of animal welfare volunteers who have many years experience helping small animals in need.

Q. What does HH4P do?

A. The goal of HH4P, Inc. is to prevent the euthanasia of adoptable cats and dogs. To meet this goal we plan to build a strong network of affiliate shelters and rescues to balance populations, aid with transport of adoptable animals, help our affiliate shelters and rescues with spay/neuter campaigns and help educate on responsible pet ownership. In the future we hope to have our own vehicles so transport can be arranged more efficiently.

Q. Can anyone join HH4P?

A. Yes, our nonvoting membership is open to everyone. Voting memberships require board approval first and are limited to 100 members.

Q. Why should I join HH4P?

A. As with any organization, your dues go to help support HH4P in it's many projects.

Q. Our Shelter would like to join HH4P. Do we need to pay dues as well?

A. No, there are no fees for shelters and rescues to become part of our Affiliate program. We do however have guidelines that both Shelters and Rescues must meet before they are approved to become HH4P Affiliates.

Q. Why are there are no Shelters or Rescues listed under my state?

A. HH4P is a new organization and it will require time to build our Network. As we grow, new  Shelters and Rescue will be added.

Q. What states do you cover?

A. We are currently only covering the eastern USA. Primarily those states east of the Mississippi River. A list of all our states can be found on our Shelter and Rescue Page.

Q. Our Group is not in a state listed on your Shelter and Rescue Page. Can we still become an Affiliate?

A. No we are only opening the Affiliate program to shelters and Rescues located on the East Coast at this time.

Q. As a Rescue or Shelter, why should we become an Affiliate of HH4P?

A. There are many positive reasons to join HH4P, as part of a larger group Rescues and Shelters will be in a stronger position to aid dogs and cats in need. By having a strong network of screened animal welfare groups both shelters and rescues will be more at easy sending and receiving animals. HH4P will also work with our Affiliates on spay/neuter issues and public education.

Q. Why is HH4P Screening the Shelters & Rescues before they become Affiliates?

A. Too often we see posts on the many rescue lists asking about a rescue group or an individual rescuer.  By screening the Shelters and Rescues we work with, both Shelters & Rescues will have piece of mind working  with other HH4P affiliates.

Q. If our group joins HH4P, will we only be able to take animals from HH4P?

A. No, HH4P will not dictate where rescues and shelters should help but HH4P will only arrange transports to and from our affiliate groups.
