Blue
A basset hound mix was thrown over a six foot chain link fence breaking his rear leg and 2 ribs. Lone Mountain Veterinarian Hospital donated their services to help Blue make a full recovery. He now lives with Carson City Animal Services Supervisor Pat Wiggins and is our education mascot who goes to schools and helps educate children about animal awareness.
Casey
A Border collie mix who was living homeless with her owner when she was abandoned after being bitten by a rattlesnake. Sierra Veterinary Hospital donated their services to help Casey make a full recovery and become our first ever Animal Services mascot.
Sugar
A 13 year old cat whose previous owner tried to euthanize her by injecting 20 units of insulin in her neck and leaving her to die. Our department found her 12 hours later in a coma. The staff of Lone Mountain Veterinarian Hospital brought her out of her coma after 3 days. Although blinded by the insulin overdose, Sugar is making a great recovery.
