 Learn how to become a Certified TNR Caretaker in NYC using the course and the Guide to Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) and Colony Care. The course makes numerous references to the handbook, so be sure to download and print the handbook before taking the course. We also recommend reading the handbook in full before planning or participating in a TNR project. You may obtain a print copy of the handbook by contacting TNRhandbook@aspca.org.

  1. Enroll in the online course:  

After you complete the course, register as a Certified TNR Caretaker in NYC to gain access to free or low-cost spay/neuter, trap loans, transportation for cats and traps, educational and networking events, newsletters, community outreach materials and other services and support within the five boroughs of New York City. Registration automatically enters you in the Certified TNR Caretaker database, so you don't need to show a card to take advantage of these services.
