About Strays From The Heights
We are a small but very active NYC grassroots rescue group that helps
abandoned and abused cats and dogs find permanent homes. We rescue cats
and dogs from the streets and from kill shelters, and help individuals
and families who want to re-home their pets. We have our cats and dogs
sterilized, vaccinated and tested at our expense. We rehabilitate and
place our rescues with loving new families, and we do so without the benefit
of a shelter to house these needy animals. We have a small but wonderful
group of foster homes to help support our efforts and rehabilitate and
socialize each pet before a permanent home is found for them. We provide
follow-up support to the individuals and families who adopt a pet from
us.
