Welcome!

Erie Shores Humane Society is a grass roots, non profit animal welfare organization. We have been helping animals in need for 24 years. We follow the humane no kill philosophy and are dedicated to the present and future well-being of all animals. We believe now is the time for people to take an active part in solving the deplorable problems involving animals we see around us. We want to educate people about awareness and the responsibility of pet ownership. We are people in the community who care and are an all volunteer organization. Every penny of the proceeds of our fund raising efforts benefits the animals.

Sincerely,

The Erie Shores Board of Directors

A Prayer for Animals

Hear our humble prayer, O God for our friends the animals, especially for those animals that are suffering; for all that are overworked and underfed, for those that are cruelly treated; for all the wistful creatures in captivity that beat against the bars of their cages;

for any that are lost or hunted, deserted or frightened; for all that are in pain or dying;

for all that must be put to death. We ask that you fill the hearts of those who handle animals with compassion, and that you give them gentle hands, and put kind words into their mouths, so that all your creatures might share in your most abundant mercies.

- Albert Schweitzer
