This loveable senior is 11 years - although you would never guess it, given his impressively puppy-like behavior at times! Garth is healthy and happy and boasts a soft shiny coat - in fact, he is in all around tip-top condition with perfect body weight (69lbs).

Unfortunately however, Garth's family are currently being forced to move and sadly they are not able to take him with them. The owners' two young boys were born and raised with Garth, so he is totally kid-socialized. Garth is also excellent with other dogs (note: he has not been around cats and so we cannot say how he would react).

Garth does has occasional moments when he shows evidence of slight arthritis in his spine, but is overall a very sound and active dog. Perhaps the most attractive thing about Garth is that, at the end of the day he's just an easy going housedog, who loves nothing better than spending time with his family (who he has been with since he was a puppy). He is also intact and fully housebroken since he was a young dog. Jacob may be a senior dog but he is still eager and well able to learn new tricks - he's just waiting for you to teach them to him.

This loyal and loving fellow is fully up-to-date on his vaccinations (done in March 2011). He also tested negative for heartworm in March, so he is now ready to go on preventive right now.

Please do consider letting Garth into your heart and your home. Garth's family is under serious pressure to move right now, and so we need to get this gentle and affectionate Lab settled in his forever home as soon as possible. (Good foster home may also be considered to begin with)
