The following volunteer positions are in constant need.
Please carefully review this list and check any - all that you are willing to help Bark Ark Bully Rescue.
We ask that you carefully consider these positions and don't take on more than
what you are reasonably able to do on an ongoing basis.
Assist in interviewing prospective adopters and help determine the ideal rescue dog or puppy to suit each individual situation. This will involve the ability to determine if an applicant meets Bark Ark Bully Rescue's established adoption requirements and other criteria in order to become adoptive "parents." This position will require satisfactory completion of our free training course. Additionally we need people to assist in transporting, setting up tables, banners, demonstrations, and cages for our public adoption events. These positions provide assistance with the adoption events, light lifting and also cleaning / disinfecting of the transport kennels.
Join our fundraising team and plan or assist with either large or small activities. This position can involve corporate executives or students, the range of fundraising activities will allow most anyone who is interested to assist in some form. Experience is not necessary.
Provide housing and care for our animals until they are placed in permanent adoptive homes. Foster homes may house only one or two animals or more depending on space and preference. The foster provider will be responsible for the day to day care of dog(s) in their care. At a minimum joining the Foster Family Program will require a reference check and a home visit prior to placing any animal in a foster home.

Answer and/or return calls to our voicemail one or more days/week (your preference). Calls should be picked up at least twice each day. This volunteer position does require consistent dedication and ability to follow Bark Ark Bully Rescue's established procedures. A free training program is provided.
Plan or assist with publicity activities such as putting up posters, placing ads, and making phone calls or other tasks that help us find homes for our animals. Willing hands required, innovative minds a plus.
Provide transportation of animals to adoption events, vet appointments or other locations.
Assist our webmaster with keeping pictures, articles and links up to date.
Provide special time for our shy or frightened animals. Teach them that loving hands belong to many people. Training provided.
Give vaccinations, medications, maintain medical records. Also may need people to hand feed orphan puppies. Some experience required and training provided.

For and in consideration of Volunteer being allowed to work with animals from Bark Ark Bully Rescue, I, the above-named Volunteer hereby fully and forever release, discharge, acquit and exonerate Bark Ark Bully Rescue, its volunteers, affiliates and all others acting on its behalf (collectively "Bark Ark"), as the context permits, from any and all claims, actions, causes of action, remedies and complaints of any kind which I have or may in the future have, whether known or unknown, arising out of or relating to the animals or my volunteer work for Bark Ark Bully Rescue, including specifically all claims for personal injury, paralysis, wrongful death, property damage and all claims resulting from any injury inflicted by the animals.
I recognize and accept all risks associated with unpredictable animal behavior on behalf of myself. I specifically assume all risks arising out of or relating to the care and handling of the animals. I recognize that Bark Ark and/or its agents, volunteers, or affiliates make no representations whatsoever as to the past history of the animals and whether or not they are safe animals.
I agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Bark Ark from any and all claims and costs, including attorney fees, arising out of or relating to the animals.

The following waiver must be digitally signed by all volunteers or their legal guardian if the volunteer is under age 18. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age. While working with animals is almost always a safe and joyful experience, there is a remote possibility that an injury may occur.
