About Us

OACC was founded in 2001 and since that time, hundreds of animals have been rescued from unsafe, unhealthy, abusive environments, and were either placed in permanent homes or remain in OACC’s foster care program.

Our Future

Our ultimate goal is to create a facility where OACC can operate, where animals can live in peace and rehabilitate, and where the public can come to learn about animal care and about what the animals can do for people. We are currently searching for property to house this facility. We will develop an education outreach program and plan to implement community programs and projects which will be offered by trained and dedicated youth. We want to offer opportunities to youth by providing programs that promote strong self-esteem and build on the power and value of strong personal relationships through the teaching of animal care and animal mastery.

We Believe

Our organization believes in upholding every animal and human’s need for love, trust and self-respect. Camps, photography, and outdoors programs will all be a part of our education outreach programs. OACC will be a facility that offers help, hope and encouragement for both the animal and human world together. Statistics show that people who have at least one animal companion in their life have a stronger desire to live longer and happier lives. Animal therapy is used in retirement homes, with dolphins and autistic children, with elderly living alone, and with prison inmates preparing for their release back into society. Animals are an important part of our society, they deserve to be treated with love and respect, and they have so much to give.

Our Programs

All of our programs will promote positive behavior through constant feedback, encouragement, and guidance in setting and meeting goals. We will, through education and the caring of animals, teach the prevention of animal and human cruelty and abuse.
