Spaying or neutering is mandatory by PA state law for all adopted cats and dogs.

New adoption fees effective May 2009. See details at left.

A spay/neuter deposit of $50 for cats and $100 for dogs is collected at the time of adoption and is refunded upon written proof of the animal's sterilization, or deducted from your sterilization bill, depending on which veterinarian does the surgery.

We have a new Dog Behaviorist who offers one free in home evaluation with each dog adoption. She is also available to answer questions about behavior of dogs adopted at BCHS.
