Pets of the Week

** REMEMBER: BCHS offers a free vet exam with all adoptions.

Oscar

Oscar is an adult male Retriever mix who came to the shelter in November as a humane case after being abandoned. He is finally available for adoption. Oscar is a sweetie who loves attention. He has three months worth of pent up energy all ready to spend playing with you. Oscar absolutely loves his toys and you will often see him carrying one in his mouth. He is quiet and he keeps his cage clean. He has kennel stress from being here so long, but he should adjust quickly to a new home.

Victor

Victor is an adult neutered male Lab mix who came to us a s a stray from Sayre. Victor is a friendly and mellow boy. He is quiet, keeps his cage clean, and walks OK on a leash. Victor would male a nice, calm companion for someone who doens't want a rambunctious dog.

Previous Pets of the Week:

Auto

Auto is an adult female Beagle who came to the shelter as a stray from Sheshequinn Township with an injured leg, possibly from being hit by a car. Her leg has been stitched and is healing nicely - the vet says it should be good as new but will take time to heal. Auto is very affectionate and loves attention. She is an active dog and behaves OK on a leash.

Pandora

Pandora is an adult female Basset mix who came to us as a stray from Athens. She is happy and friendly and walks OK on a leash. Pandora is playful and loves to play fetch and tug with a stuffy toy. She is great with kids and gets along with other dogs. Pandora keeps her cage clean if not left too long.

Marty

Marty is a young adult male mixed breed dog, possibly part Blue Heeler. He is a friendly, happy boy with a cute face and floppy ears. Marty keeps his cage clean and is full of energy. He has been at the shelter for three months and has started to defend his cage, but he is fine when out of the cage. Marty knows the commands sit, shake, down, and does not mind having a bath. Marty needs to be in a one pet home.

Sasha

Sasha is an adult female cat who came to us as a stray from Gillett. She is a laid back, couch potato kind of cat and is not very active. Sasha is calm and affectionate and would make a great lap cat for someone looking for a nice quiet companion.

Nicky

Nicky is an adult female Lab mix who came to the shelter as a stray from Wysox. She is a friendly and mellow dog who keeps her cage clean and is good on a leash. Nicky is calm and quiet and would make a good family pet. She does not like other dogs. **Update 1-19 Nicky has had puppies and is not available for adoption until they are weaned.

Biscuit

Biscuit is a young female cat who came to the shelter as a baby in May. Her two siblings were adopted in June and Biscuit has grown up at the shelter. She is our longest term shelter resident. Biscuit is friendly and playful, but not snuggly. She would probably be a good hunter. Biscuit gets along great with both cats and dogs. She would love to have a new home to explore and a family to play with. ** UPDATE 2-2-09: Biscuit has been spayed.
