Does your company have a matching gift program?
Would your company match your employee’s donations or even donate cash as
a match for your employee’s volunteer hours? Many corporations have an
employee-matching gift or volunteer hour program.
A matching gift is a great way to increase your
support to the Butler County Humane Society! Just ask your employer if they
match donations to non-profit organizations. If so, they will give you a form
for us to complete and send back with the proof of your donation.
Did you know that cash, membership, volunteer
hours or auction item purchases (above fair market value) can be turned into an
additional donation to the Butler County Humane Society in just two easy steps?
It's true—if you work for a company that has a matching gift program.
When the Butler County Humane Society receives contributions from individuals,
the company the individual works for might match that donation, in most cases
dollar for dollar.
Several hundred companies participate in the
Employer Matching Gift Program. You can also contact your local personnel
office to see if your company participates in this program. If your company
does not participate, you can ask your personnel office, your director, or
company headquarters for more information on how to get a matching gift program
started.
This program helps to boost employee morale and
helps build the corporate image. In addition, the company gets an opportunity
to do something beneficial for animal welfare that can mean so much to the life
of an abused, unwanted, neglected or abandoned pet.
You CAN make a difference!
There are many areas in which volunteers can
assist us at the Butler County Humane Society, but if you have other talents or
skills that you can contribute, visit or call the shelter.
