The dog shall reside indoors, in the adopter's home, and live as a family member and companion only. The dog will not be kept outdoors during the adopter's working hours, or at any other time left alone outdoors while the adopter is not at home Pet may be tied for its own safety while outside. This pet will not be kept chained or tied down for extended periods of time. The dog may be crated for no longer than eight (8) hours in a twenty-four (24) hour period of time. The crate must be large enough for the dog to stand, turn around and lie comfortably on its side. At no time will the dog be transported in the open bed of a pickup truck, or left in a vehicle when the outside temperature exceeds 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Adopter will not use, nor will he/she allow the dog to be used for any illegal purpose including but not limited to dog fighting or bate dog. . Adopter agrees that the dog will not be attack or protection trained and will not be used for guard work in any commercial endeavor. If I have disciplinary problems with this dog, I will contact Morningstar Dog Rescue for advice. Morningstar Dog Rescue is not responsible for any fees or costs resulting from or to this pet incurred after the date of adoption. The adopter hereby declares that no representations about the nature of the adopted dog, nor any representations regarding the nature and extent of legal liability, or of financial responsibility have induced the adopter to sign this contract. . The dog shall not be sold, given to, or adopted to anyone else, nor shall there be any transfer of ownership to any firm, corporation, or organization of other homeless animals, such as another rescue facility, or research facility. The dog adopted from rescuer must be returned to Morningstar Dog Rescue under any circumstances if for any reason the adopter can no longer keep it. Arrangements for his/her return to Morningstar Dog Rescue at the dog owner's expense. Violation of this agreement will result in legal action being taken against me. Resulting in court costs and attorney fees payable by the adopter if necessary for the rescuer to redeem the dog. The adopting person will notify Morningstar Rescue at least ONE WEEK prior to any change of telephone number or address. If the adopting party, is no longer able to care for this pet, will contact Morningstar Dog Rescue and return the pet to us. If I fail to follow through with any of the above stipulations or if Morningstar Dog Rescue deems it necessary, I agree to return this animal to Morningstar Dog Rescue. In further consideration for the services provided by Morningstar Dog Rescue, I declare and represent that I understand that I am assuming all right, title and interest in the animal identified above, that I accept that I am legally responsible for this animal as its owner, and that I accept all duties, responsibilities, and liabilities imposed on me by the law in the jurisdiction where I reside, as of the date of this agreement. The donation is not a fee or sale price, but a request to defer or reimburse rescuer for any and all medical Expenses, or any other expenses incurred by the dog or rescuer to consider dog for adoption. No refund will be given after the adoption, but a credit will be given towards another dog or you may use the fee as a donation on your tax return. The adopter further agrees that if there is any breach or default of the terms of this contract, and the dog must be redeemed through a claim and delivery service, that the adopter will be held liable for all court costs and fees for the adopter's attorney and for rescuer's attorney.
