The donations that have been collected from previous adoptions, have aided us in the rescue and fostering of the dog or cat you are interested in adopting today. If you can not afford the adoption donation, then maybe you can not afford to own a pet at this time.
The cost of owning a pet does not end here. The estimated cost of maintaining a pet is about $500.00 per year.
NO, This is not our adoption donation we just wanted to let you know that these cost cam be incured when you have a pet.
Our donation for dogs are usually $75-$200 but can be higher. Most dogs come to us needing spay/nuetering, shots and/or medical attention, even grooming. Sometimes we incur exceptional expenses just rescuing them.
Cats usually are $35 (Kittens) to $75 for those we have to have spayed or neutered.
Thank you for understanding.
At this time we will not accept applications from people who do not have verifiable vet references or people who live over 5 hours drive away.
We have seen time and time again where a person adopts a pet then decides they no longer want the pet. Although their contract states that they have to return the dog, they don't want to because "it's too far"( I have heard this from people who have gotten a dog from a shelter 1 1/2 hours away).
The only way we can avoid this is if the pet is with in a days driving distance for us, in the event something goes wrong and the adopter can no longer keep the pet.
We do not ship pets.We also do not adopt to people under 21 years of age or people who are first time pet guardians.
Thank you for understanding.
