At Action For Animals Humane Society, expenses sure do add up quickly when you are caring for 150+ animals every day, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year! We have to raise at least $1,000 per day to keep the shelter running efficiently.
Every animal that comes through our doors requires a minimum of $125 in care. Sadly, some animals require much more money for surgery, special medication or food to get well.
Utilities, supplies, advertising, shelter and van insurance, maintenance of our building and skilled management and staff round out our expenses.
We are very proud to have an all-volunteer board to fulfill all of the duties of an executive director. This means less dollars on administrative costs and more on direct animal care.

Thank you for helping save those who cannot speak for themselves. If they could speak they would tell you they are forever grateful.
