RESCUE - BELLA BEFORE FOSTER AT INTAKE
This is Bella that first day of rescue almost a year ago, 2011. She was abandoned at a church with 8 Bostons, all wild. She tried to bite Faith(the FOHA rescuer) when she put her in the crate. She was with Carol several months, in rehabilation, before she came here in January and was finally ready for adoption in May, 2012.
AFTER - BELLA IN HER FOREVER HOME
May 21, 2012, Bella, now known as Lola
Hi, wanted to let you know that Lola is doing great! She has really come out of her shell and is a doll. She goes outside now, on her own, and does all her business outside (most of the time). She plays, sits on our laps, chews bones. We are so very happy with her. Thanks for helping to make her an awesome dog. Best, Suzanne

prancer
May 14, 2012, Prancer
Everything is going very well with our new friend. As we speak, he is snuggling in one of the new beds we bought for him while his big sister Joey sleeps in the bed next to his. They are getting along just fine - Prancer keeps trying to play with Joey lately, but I think Joey is a little wary because she wants to be respectful of him! It's pretty cute. They did chase after each other for a second this morning, I think they're warming up to the idea. They also have been sharing their toys without any issues at all, and we can even feed them at the same time and nobody tries to steal anyone else's food!
Prancer is just a total love bug and we feel so fortunate to have him in our lives. Happy to report that he gets to do all his "favorite activities" -- we go on nice walks after which he curls up in the sunniest space he can find and takes a nap. And it's been very hard to get up in the morning now that there are two dogs in the bed to snuggle with!

Louie
March 26, 2012 Louie
JUst wanted to let you know that Mr. Louie is in his forever home and doing GREAT!! He turned some kind of corner last week when we took him to my sister's house on Long Island, ( which is where he is shown her, in her yard). He just seemed to settle in. He became fully housebroken and is getting along really well with George, our Golden. :-) (He still is not crazy about strange dogs, but we are working with a behavioralist on this with him). He's super sweet and looks great! He has filled out a bit, his fur has grown in and he looks really handsome and healthy. What a lover!! We all are in love with him. I'm so glad we stuck it out and gave hime the chance he deserved. That first month was very hard, but so glad he came around. It was six weeks yesterday that he joined us, but feels like he's been a part of our family forever and we can't imagine being without him now.
Just wanted to let you know how well he is doing. Thank you again for all your patience, kindness and understanding.
All the best, Pat & Louie
Boots
March 17, 2012 Boots
Happy St. Patrick's day - 5 years ago today I got Boots from Friends of the Homeless Animals. Although she was a struggle in the beginning she has turned out to be one of my best dogs. Boots will be turning 10 in May....thank you Roie!
Here is a picture of Boots now! Jenn
Cali
March 15, 2012 Cali (formerly Wildberry)
It's been almost 3 years since we adopted Cali (formerly Wildberry) and I just wanted to send some new pics along and let you know she is just a huge love! She and our other Boston Brady love each other so much and do everything together :) All of our cats love her too!
I hope you all are well and still helping to save so many wonderful animals! Your work is truly amazing and inspiring.

March 13, 2012 Molly
I thought you might like to see a current pic of Molly who is growing by leaps and bounds. I don't know how big she will be but I really don't care. She has the sweetest disposition and she obeys very well for a puppy I have only had for one week. I am enjoying her puppyhood as she is just too adorable. My Pom and my cat both get along with her because she is just so sweet. Mary Rose
sadie
March 12, 2012
Sadie is such a happy girl! She's completely settled in and so spoiled :) She already has way too many toys and she loves having someone to play with her all the time. She especially loves going for walks at the beach and playing fetch. We feel so lucky to have gotten her, she's added so much to our lives. I've attached a few pictures for you, hope you enjoy them. -Bonnie
Kelvin
February 21, 2012 Kelvin
Kelvin has been doing much better. After the round of medication the vet put him on and the new food things have started to look up. He gets a tiny sprinkle of Metamucil every few days (which he loves lol). Its amazing how his appetite has increased. We used to have to basically hand feed him to get him to eat now we find him in the kitchen pushing around his empty bowl all the time. His energy has increased and he's doing a lot more running and romping. He got a new bed and a giant bully stick for his birthday. He carries the stick around the house with him even though its longer than he is. We also took him to his favorite park. We couldnt love this little guy anymore. Thank you for all your help. keep in touch. -Alex

Here's the latest photo of our most handsome Langston...now Kelsey. He is living the life for sure!
His mom, Joann tells me he visits the local Starbucks every Saturday and Sunday where he sucks up the praise and admiration (he so richly deserves :) from all in the shop. He looks so happy and healthy. I love it..I just love it!! I wanted to share with all who knew him. He's gorgeous isn't he?? Pam, Foster Mom

2/2/2012 Nathan
My chihuahua Rugby had passed away, and I knew that I wanted to get another dog. I knew in my heart that I wanted another chihuahua and wanted to adopt. I began searching on Petfinder for weeks and finally came across Nathan. He looked like a sweetheart, and I had to have him! I immediately contacted his rescue organization, and was told that after I filled out the application, and had a home inspection I could adopt him! I was beyond thrilled and knew that it would be a match made in heaven. When Nathan came into my life on February 8, 2009, it took some time for him to get used to his new surroundings, but after a few days he was very well adjusted. He was the king of the house! He loved being with me and never wanted to leave my side. I could tell that he had a history of abuse, because he was very nervous around men, but with trust and a loving family he overcame this. After eleven wonderful months with Nathan one day he became very ill, screaming in pain, and could not walk. Frightened, my family and I rushed him to the Animal Speciality Center in Yonkers, NY. After an MRI he was diagnosed with Atlantoaxial instability a condition in which the first two cervical neck vertebrae are not firmly attached. This was a rare hereditary condition and a very serious one. Nathan needed to have emergency surgery within 24 hours or he was going to die. Surgery is done to stabilize the joints in the neck with pins. This was a serious surgery with high risks involved, but we were willing to take these risks. After a nervous four to five hours of surgery the surgeon called to tell us that Nathan had survived the surgery and was expected to make a full recovery! We were ecstatic! It was a true miracle and after months of recovery Nathan was able to walk again. Two years later Nathan is a healthy dog and so full of life. We are so grateful that Nathan survived his illness and we are so fortunate to have him in our lives. He changed our lives forever and he
is a true to joy to have. Amanda Gallicchio
brody
1/26/2012 Brody
Just wanted to give you a happy update on Brody, our pug puppy, and tell you how well he's doing here with us. In just 6 weeks, he thinks he owns the house - he gets along well with the other dogs, is polite to the cats (only a little chasing), and he greets everyone with his little pug dance.
He just had his 2nd set of shots and the vet said he was in great shape - about 11.6 lbs. Attached is a recent pic of him from this weekend.
Everyone in our household is in love with him! He was the perfect addition to our family.
Hope all is well, Laurie Robinson

Good morning, I had saved the old email on the BT we received from you almost 2 years ago now. Just wanted to let you know he is a very valued member of our family and is our perfect little buddy. He is the funniest and cuddliest dog I have ever had. From now on it is a BT all the way! When we are ready to add another to our pack (after our old lab passes on) we will definitly contact you again. I am so appreciative of all you do for these dogs and for the adoptive families by providing such wonderful companions. He has changed our lives for the better without a doubt. Thanks again!

My girlfriend Andrea and I wanted to extend our thanks to all of the
volunteers at FOHA for helping us through the process of adopting
Patches. He's such a handsome little devil and he's been a little ball
of energy already. If you could also extend our thanks to Danielle for
being so accommodating in coming to our place yesterday on short
notice.
We couldn't be happier. We're excited to give Patches a loving home for
a very long time. Thank you again.

libby
January 20, 2012
Hi Ladies ~
I have been meaning to get in touch to let you know how well Libby is doing - she is a different dog in EVERY way and bringing Lucy (formerly Lola) into our home has changed her for the better. She just started showing an interest in toys this week which is a total first. She runs and plays all day with her "baby" Lucy and she has even slept in our bed a few times and is starting to come around to Josh and the boys. I am so happy that we didn't give Libby back because she was meant to be a part of our family and I can't remember what our lives were like without her. I just wanted to thank you for blessing us with 2 wonderful dogs that have enriched our lives and given us a reason to stay home more and spend time as a family. Thank you again and I have attached some pics of my pups - wishing you both the best in 2012!!
Love, Laurel, Libby & Lucy
mingo and milo
Wed 1/11/2012 Mingo and Milo, brother JRT's
Linda Rizzo the adopter has told me, I will always be mom to ‘my boys’. I miss them so bad. Linda never fails to send pics.. She never tires of taking them of her favorite subjects! Mingo and Milo.
I never got so much sympathy from others as when I fostered these two 6mo old Jack Russell Terriers. Little did they know..the JRT will fool you. It was great, these were the best thing that ever happened to me! They kept me laughing all day. Mingo, the ‘big’ brother of the two held the reins on his ‘smaller’ brother, Mingo. Mingo, did and acted however he wanted until Mingo stepped in and acted like Mama to him. Both of these guys came from the same litter, were rescued together and I am so thankful, adopted together. You could search the world over and not find a more loving, balanced pair of dogs. Their mom spoils them constantly! They have two homes, one with a beach they stay at on weekends in Maine.

My name is Lori Brierly and I adopted "The Lindy" from you. Attached is a picture of her and our other dog Millie. We re-named her Zoey, it means "Life". That is what you gave her when you went and rescued her.
Zoey has come a long way in the 7 months that we have had her. When we got her she was afraid of everything. She remains a little scared and always cautious, but she has made great progress. She has bonded quite nicely with Millie and they are inseparable. My vet put Zoey on zanax for a month or so and that didn't help much so she was switched to amitriptyline which helped alot with her anxiety. She is now almost completely off the meds and runs around the house, interacts with us and plays out in the yard. She loves her new family and we are blessed to have her. Thanks again! Lori Brierly
apollo
Mon 12/19/2011 Apollo
Apollo is doing so very well. He weighs about 5 1/4 pounds now and has settled in so well. It seems as if he has always been here. He has graduated out of the pet apartment - we've put it in storage. He doesn't really need it and I don't think he ever liked it as some dogs do but merely tolerated it. He's been enjoying eating (fresh home cooked turkey sends him over the edge with joy) and loves walking in Central Park and even just out on the street. He loves to greet most other dogs but is a bit shy and cautious (smart) when it comes to big dogs. I wish you could see his gait and happy assurance when he walks down the street. I just love it when he puts his tail in the air and almost prances. So many people stop us to ask what kind of dog he is and to tell us how cute he is! It's funny because he is drawn to children and will wait to be acknowledged when we pass by groups of school children on their way to the Metropolitan Museum or going back from PE in the park to school. He will stop in his tracks when he hears their voices and will stand firm until he has had some sort of acknowledgement - so far he has always gotten some attention from them!
At home he has grown closer to both of my children and right now is napping next to Lauren as she watches "Home Alone" on TV. He often sits with Patrick when he's reading and insists on sitting in the same room when he has friends over. He curls up in a ball and goes to sleep but he wants to be near the action. At the same time he's a good little watch dog. When our smoke alarm's battery went out and set off a beeping noise he was right there, barking at it in a state of high alert and he was not quite relaxed when Michael was out of town on business for two nights. He reminds me when it's time for his dinner and is always ready to come out with us. He's very good in the car and rides with us everyday to drop off Patrick at school. He just seems so normal that I wonder if he started out as someone's pet and somehow came under some bad circumstances when he ended up at the puppy mill. There is no doubt that your care and love enabled him to be ready to be a cherished pet. In any event, we are so very lucky to have him and can't thank you enough for the wonderful care and for bringing him down here to us. Barbara

wahini

Sun 12/18/2011
Dear Friends of Homeless Animals,
Hello. We adopted a boston terrier from you in May 2009. We just wanted to let you know that you can add our dog, Wahini, to your list of success stories. My husband and I could not imagine our home without her. Wahini, origanilly named Wesson from your organization, was an abandoned dog found in Alabama. She and her brother, according to your listing, were tied to a house that had burnt down. When you guys got her, she was nothing but skin and bones. We submitted our application for her, but another family beat us. She was adopted by them, but after a few days, they decided her energy level was too high for their families lifestyle—and we got her in the end. She adapted well, gained weight, and is as happy as can be.
Previously, we already had another Boston Terrier, Kalena (not a rescue). Both dogs have Hawaiian names. They get along great, loving sisters.
Wahini is the word for girl. Kalena is shorter and stalky compared to Wahini. Wahini is slender but built like an athlete, and she sure is an athlete. She just competed her first agility class and she did WONDERFUL!
Enclosed you will find some photos of our happy family. You are more then welcome to use them on your site to encourage more families to adopt. We seriously couldn’t be happier!
All solo pictures are of Wahini except for the picture of the boston with the Pink Bowa, that is Kalena.
The picture of the three dogs and my husband Arek (Left to Right)-Wahini, Lucky (friends dog), Kalena.
Thanks again and happy holidays! Kind Regards, Jenn Dul

Dear Friends,
On the eve of the one year anniversary of our adoption of Deckster (formerly Dexter) I wanted to share with you just how happy we are to have him in our family.
We fell in love with Deckster's picture the first moment we saw it! When we brought him home we were prepared for him to be shy and skittish in a new environment. But we couldn't have been more wrong! On that first night he explored his new home, checked out his new toys, and then jumped up on the couch and fell asleep in between us. He loves to play and loves to cuddle. Everyone who has met him tells him how handsome and well-behaved he is. It has definitely gone to his head and he rules the roost. But we let him!
He came home with a stack of medical records nearly an inch thick. He had had surgery on his bowels prior to his adoption so we were prepared to baby him and do whatever we needed to keep him healthy. I am very happy to report that in the year that he's been with us he has not had any medical issues! The veterinarian says he is healthy, happy and one of the most well-behaved Bostons she has seen. He fell asleep in her arms while she was checking his heartbeat!
Deckster has changed our lives by making us laugh and smile and by offering his unconditional love and affection and for that we will be forever grateful to all the volunteers who made it possible to bring Deckster home to us.
THANK YOU! - Matthew, Lindsay and Deckster

Dear FOHA,
We can't thank you enough for all your hard work and dedication! Louie (Louisville Cooler) found his forever home with us this past summer and everything has been wonderful. He has the best personality and loves to cuddle. The foster family in Texas did a fantastic job on this training and socialization. We feel like we won the doggie lottery and we hope Louie feels the same way! Thanks for making such a positive impact on so many lives (both the two and four- legged types). Happy Holidays,
Jason, Jill & Louie

It was so nice meeting you and your family yesterday-- I hope you had
a nice Thanksgiving. Sunny and I decided to stay in RI this weekend,
and will visit my family next weekend. She is doing wonderfully! Her
appetite is good, she's pooped twice (no diarrhea), and she slept in
my bed last night. This morning we went to buy her a new sweater, see
pic attached.
Thank you again for all your help with this process, you've been so
wonderful. I will send you more updates as I have them.
All best,
Suzannah
rosalee
November 19, 2011
I can't begin to explain how much we love Rosalee! She is passed out and snoring on my stomach right now. She has become part of the family and we could not be happier. She gets along well with Sully and seems to love us back!
After you left I gave her an oatmeal bath. We then went to our favorite farm feed store and bought her some spray oil for her dry skin, a brush, a blue sweater with flowers on it, a down jacket, a harness, new pink collar, and a bone! She met the Boston that is always at the store and some bunnies. The store is great and has really high quality food and supplies. So she is warm and stylin'!!!!!!!
She has done well with pee and poop...its going to take a while for her to know what to do but she is getting better.
We will take more pictures and send them!
Thank you!!! All of the Dans'

October 12, 2011
I just wanted to give you an update on Chester. We had him neutered last Tuesday and his teeth cleaned as well at Titan. He did great, even better than our lab had done with the surgery. He is developing quite the little personality, he'll bark at the girls when he's outside to get them to chase him. He has gone to many of my son's football games with us and enjoyed all of the attention he gets there. He is very tolerant of our other dog and when the house gets noisy he'll go rest on the bed inside his crate. He usually sleeps with the girls on their bed at night though.

October 10, 2011
I'm writing to update you on Pierre. I'm sorry for not writing back sooner, as I meant to. Pierre has been renamed Roady, and he's doing great. :) He finally broke out of his shyness after about 2.5 weeks. He doesn't even like his crate that much anymore. If he has a choice, (usually when we're home), he will walk himself into my room or walk into the living room. He gets excited for walks now. When he first came home, he didn't even know how to walk on a leash.
:) I've attached a few photos! -Mai
kate
9/29/2011 Kate
I adopted Kate in Feb 2008 from foha through Sonia who lived
in Boston at the time. She is doing wonderful and I just wanted to
let you know that Kate and I will be featured in the first issue of
2012 Cesars Way magazine (Jan-Feb 2012 issue, the dog
whisperer. I wrote about how I adopted Kate from foha, and how
she went from being neglected and abused in Arkansas to being
treated like a princess in our home. Cesar's Way actually picked
my story to run in the true tails section. Imagine Kate going from
being treated like nothing to being in a national magazine. Our
pictures will be there as well.
Just thought you might like to know. Keep up the good work!
Someday, I'll probably be adopting from foha again.
thanks Linda Young, Alton, Maine

Thu 9/29/2011
I would just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for making this adoption possible. Sierra, now known as Phoebe (in New York), (but know she will always be Sierra in Illinois!), has been making a wonderful adjustment. I have a lot of experience working with puppy mill dogs, and Sierra had a great start in her foster home, which has made her transition so easy. She is learning the routine of the house, working on her housebreaking skills, and building her self-confidence. She fits in here perfectly with the rest of the dogs. She is an absolute delight!
I took her to the vet the first day I picked her up. She got the rest of her vaccinations, and had a fecal check, which was negative. My vet said she is in good health, but needs a dentistry. I want to let her settle in, and then next month she will have blood work and have her teeth cleaned. Her feet were very swollen and she had some sores between her toes. I was told that she had problems with her feet prior to the adoption. She is on antibiotics and her feet are starting to look better. This is something that I will keep a close eye on, but know she will have flare ups from time to time.
The day after I got her I brought her to my pug meet-up. We usually do a walk around the lake. However, the weather was warm and humid, so we met at a local park instead. This worked out so much better because I didn’t want her to do much walking until her feet started to improve, and I also didn’t know if she would walk on leash. She loved it and walked straight to all of the other pugs. She wasn’t shy at all and let everyone pet her. After about 45 minutes we were really hot and I was going to leave, but she refused to walk back to the car. She didn’t want to leave her new friends and I had to carry her out.
I am so happy to be able to share my home and life with Sierra. Thanks so much!!!! Kathy McLoughlin
butters

I am very impressed with Butters. We had several errands on foot today, and she did very well with both children and other dogs. She didn't eat the dry food we bought so I made her some boiled ground turkey and rice. I gave her about a half cup. She liked that. I left her in the crate when I went to the gym and that went o.k. too. When home I leave the door open to the yard so she won't spot in the house. She goes in and out on her own, but stays pretty close even when she is outside. I feel very lucky to get such a healthy well adjusted dog.She is very alert and interested in everything that is going on. She didn't like the big garbage trucks or the police sirens. She is pretty vocal but will quiet down when I ask her to. I am totally happy with her, and I thank you for your excellent care of her. Thank you again. Sincerely, Norma Anderson
peach
Mon 9/19/2011 Trixie (formally Peach)
Trixie (formerly Peach)is doing great. She is an absolute doll. Loves to play with her toys and give kisses to everyone she meets. At first she was overwhelmed walking on the New York city streets but is getting more confident everyday. Since she was used to going on grass, she initially wouldn't go poop on the sidewalk. Instead I had to put her in the plant beds surrounding the trees so she would go (you know the ones that say "Curb Your Dog"), so there were a few arguments with some doormen. :) But now she is fine with the cement and getting better on her leash everyday. She is very smart and housetraining is going well. Tomorrow the vet is coming over to check her out. Attached are some pics of Trixie's first days in the big city.
Thank you both for all you've done for Trixie, the other dogs and me -- I feel very lucky. Best, Jen

Fri, 9 Sep 2011 TUX
Hello,
I just wanted to let you know how well Tux (Gareth) is doing. The pictures I attached pretty much speak for themselves but I just wanted to tell you what a wonderful little gentleman he is. A little shy but he grows more and more comfortable everyday. He loves his big sister and she thinks he's the best birthday present she could ever get. We decided to call him Tux short for Tuxedo since he is such a polite little guy wearing a tuxedo. He loves being with us and going for car rides. He met Dr. Harris our vet last week and was a very good boy. Everyone that met him at the vet said he was the most beautiful Boston they had ever seen. He has been a bit shy with men that have deep voices and a few other hyper dogs at Petsmart but he has loved every women, child and calm dog that he has met. He will be starting puppy class soon at Petsmart and I can't wait for him to be the honor student because he is so smart. We are so blessed to have him Thank you all so much for everything you did to help us out. I will definitely make sure to put a happy tails on the website soon.
Thanks Again,
Jessie, Tony,Wendi and Tux

6 Months With Houdini - Mon 9/5/2011
Houdini and I have now spent 6 months together and I just wanted to send you a quick message to thank you once again for the work that you both do that made it possible for us to find each other. I can't imagine life without Houdini and I wanted you to know that he is happy and healthy (although, admittedly, a little chunky!) We're working on limiting the treats now...
I've sent a few pictures of Dini so that you can see for yourself the fruits of your labors. Thank you so much for making sure that he ended up with me instead of meeting an awful and lonely end. I am thankful every single day.
Take care and keep up the wonderful work, Robin and Houdini

Wed 8/24/2011 Chloe
Cloe has been with me now just over a month. As she has settled into
her new environment, she broken out of her shell and proven to be the
most wonderful dog. Everyone she meets wants to take her home. She has
taken to greeting everyone she passes with the sweetest little 'rawr
rawrrr". Including the construction guys who have been working on my
next door apartment, who melt at the sight of her. When I take her out
for a little jog, she literally jumps for joy. So Hilda, thank you for
passing her along to me. She's a special dog, and she's very well
loved here. -L

I adopted my Boston, Kate, in February 2008. She has come a long way from the
scared little dog that she was back then. She just turned 10 years old this May, and
she loves my other dog Greta, a dachshund mix. They are both the loves of my life.
Thank you Roie and Sonia for all you do for the rescues. I can't imagine Kate, or any
other dog living in the horrible conditions she had to endure for 7 long years. But that
is behind her now and she is treated like a queen. I will always adopt rescue dogs
from now on, because there are so many more sweet dogs that need good homes.

Mon, 25 Jul 2011 Tucker
We just wanted to take a moment to again thank you for playing a part in bringing Tucker (formerly Poquito) into our lives. It's been almost four months since we finalized the adoption for Tucker, and we're all the richer for every moment we spend with the little guy.
Upon our vet's recommendation, we put Tucker on a prescription diet to help settle his stomach, and the results have been fantastic. Tucker is now a healthy little boy weighing just about 20 pounds and has been maximizing every new ounce of energy.
He's still the very sweet dog we fell in love with at Harriet's kitchen, always greeting Jackie and myself with a shower of kisses and affection whenever we come home. He's come to love the bike/pedestrian path in our neighborhood, and has even finally come around to engaging with other dogs.
Once again, thank you all for making this possible. I've attached a picture from about a month ago.
Jay, Jackie, and Tucker.

Hi Sonia-- Just wanted to give you an update on Riley.
He's doing wonderful. We are so blessed to have him in
our lives. My husband just came back from a walk with him.
Everything you said about him on petfinder is exactly him.
We've got him sleeping a little longer which is great. I'm so
glad I found him the day I did. Thanks for all of you help.
Take care, Lori
sugar
Mon 7/18/2011 Sugar
I just took this photo of Sugar and Louie on Thursday. Too cute. These two get along quite well, although Sugar is definitely the alpha dog, while Lou is the passive one. He lets her know when he's had enough or if she gets too rough (she loves to bite his feet to get him to play, and he isn't keen on that). They run around the yard top-speed, taking turns chasing each other and stalking birds. Sugar has even caught two mice near the woodpile, so she is apparently part cat, lightning reflexes. She has certainly come out of her shell, Marie. Ha! She can be a little bossy boots and quite jealous, she wants all hands on her! But she listens and she's getting more patient about waiting for her turn whether it's scratching and petting or food. She is also very protective when we've had service people in the house, quite the watchdog. When Jeff and I both leave the house without her, she gives us a lecture when we get back. We do love her spunk, and she is always a little lovebug. All the furry creatures in the house get along very well. The cats head-butt Sugar and wrap their tails around her body. Even grouchy Chico will curl up with Sugar, so I have to say Sugar's transition into our family is a success! We cannot imagine home without "The Plum". Take care. Nice to hear from you. Our best to you and Beau. -Pat & Jeff

Thu, 14 Jul 2011 Tracie (now named Maggie)
We would like you thank you again for the all the work you do to place our beloved animals without homes. You do an amazing selfless job. Tracie (now named Maggie), is an absolute sweetheart. She is amazingly intelligent and has completely adapted to our home. She is fully house trained (so far so good!), is eating well and her doctor says she is in perfect health. She has brought such joy to our family and is a perfect fit.
Thank you again….blessings to you and all the volunteers! The Richards Family

Hi Roie,
Well it's been almost 3 days with Thomas and it has been GREAT !!!. He is quite the character let me tell you.
He was very timid and skiddish the first few hours at home but then he got accustomed to his new surroundings and is just fine. We gave him a bath and cuddled with him for a few hours and he seem to settle in. He slept practacally on my head that night!!!
We spent all day Monday having him getting used to the neiborhood and the house, etc. The more we are with him and our other dog, the better he seems to be. He slept on my head last night !!!
I went home for lunch today and he was just so happy to see me, it was like we were seperated from each other for a week. He was all over me for affection. It was great. He is great.
My wife and I just wanted to tell you that you are running a first class operation. For you to help these great creatures and not even see them, give them nice homes to live in means a lot and we just want to tell you our appreaciation.
You said and did EVERYTHING you told me you were going to do. That means a trememdous amount to us. TRUST !!! From the first Initial email to the last follow up phone call was just great. Very organized and honest and sincere.
I am a third generation buisness owner and I run my buisness the same way you do. I am very honest, sincere and sucessful and it shows that you are too. !!! Hard work, no matter what you do, pays off.
You and your dedicated staff are the heroes in my book and I will tell everyone who will listen to me about your orginazation and what you do for these animals.
If you need a reference for your originzation, please feel free to contact me. Please feel free to put this email on your websight as well.
Thanks again and from the bottom of our hearts, Thank You. Jacie and Doreen Mesheau

I just wanted to thank you so much for all your help in my adoption of Leviathon back in mid-May! He is the sweetest and most affectionate little guy! I think he is really enjoying his new life! He has made friends with all the kids and dogs in the neighborhood! He seems to be recovering well from his heatworms and has gained a bit of weight.
Thanks again for all your help! Alisa and Levon
sabrina
Sat 6/25/2011 Sabrina
Just wanted to let you know that Sabrina went to her new home this morning. What a nice lady! I love previous adopters.
She was so thoughtful and caring, asking me what toys and food she should get her.
She bought her a little pink bunny and the rubber bone that i recommended to her. That was so sweet.
And she sent me a message with the pic of Sabrina at her home and this message:
"Sabrina has been an angel all day , she and my boys are getting along great, and she has already made herself right at home. We love her already , thanks so much for making her part of our family! Take care, Tracey."
