URGENT!! We Need Your Help Now!!

Please Donate and Help These Neglected Puppy Mill Dogs

These six Boston Terrier Puppy Mill Dogs, rescued from an Indiana Puppy Mill. Their medical bills are piling up and are huge! We have already put one female in Emergency Surgery due to a herniated uterus that was found to have a dead pup inside. She was on the verge of pyometra.

Here are our new Boston Terriers. They have suffered serious neglect and abuse:

chai chai3

Chai- Skin dry, moderate hyperemia to face, multiple areas of hairloss and flaking. Mild cutaneous irritation to scrotum, mild interdigital irritation back right paw.   Eyes moderately injected sclera.  Right eye difficult to visualize, suspect anterior synechiae with or without glaucoma.  Severe dental plaque and moderate gum recession.  Multiple cracked and missing teeth.  Recommend oral antibiotics, dental cleaning, neuter and opthomologist consult.

chamomile chamomile2 chamomile3

Chamomile- Dry skin, mild hyperemia to face, pressure sores, 1/2 cm mass right antebrachium.  Moderate dental plaque.  Intact larger than golf ball sized mass right caudal aspect of chain.  Recommend oral antibiotics, anti inflammatory, fine needle aspirate with cytology, spay, dental, mass removal with or without histopath.
We had xrays done today to see if she had cancer.  The good news, is her lungs were clear, no signs of cancer.  The bad news is, she has an inguinal hernia that her uterus has fallen through which is what we thought was the huge mammary tumor.  The uterus appears to have a dead puppy in it, and she's in the beginning stages of pyometra.  It is the vet's opinion we need to spay her and repair everything immediately. She goes into surgery tomorrow--we will fund her care which has been $450 so far.
God bless her.  Who knows how long she's been living with this.

earl grey earl grey2earl grey3

Ginger-  Dry and unkempt haircoat, multiple areas of focal alopecia, mild hyperemia to face, 2 mm eyelid tumor right lower lid, mild dental plaque premolars, multiple pendulous mammary teats, some enlarged and firm (mastitis or mammary carcinoma or chronic irritation) intact.  Recommend oral antibiotics and anti-inflammatory, possible fine needle aspirate of mammary chain, spay.

ginseng ginseng2 ginseng3

Ginsing-  Dry skin, multiple areas of focal alopecia, mild hyperemia to face multiple "ring like" areas of alopecia, woods lamp -, thickening both front pads (likely chronic irritation) skin tag caudal aspect right thigh.  Mild mucus discharge, right eye.  Moderate to severe plaque with moderate gum recession to molars and premolars.  Jaw unbalanced and tilted down and to right.  Pendulous teats, multiple teats enlarged and firm (mastitis, carcinoma or irritation).  Fungal culture started 1/22/12.  Recommend oral antibiotics, anti inflammatory, fine needle aspirate of mammary chain, spay and ringworm treatment

thai thai2 thai3

Thai- Dry skin, Alopecia on rump negative on woods lamp.  Mild irritation back right paw.  Mederate dental plaque, most teeth ground down, all four canines have pulp exposure.  Intact, mild cutaneous irritation to scrotum, recommend oral antibiotics, dental and neuter.

These precious dogs will be in medical care to correct the horrible neglect their owner inflected on them. The medical care is just the beginning for these wonderful dogs. They still have to learn how to trust people again and rehabilitate into being family dogs.

I envision they will live out the ends of their lives in Peace, Love and renewed Faith.

We had a great Adoption Event at the Petsmart in Warwick, RI on 11/13/2011. The volunteers had their foster dogs ready to meet & greet the community. Everyone had a wonderful time, the dogs especially! Nothing like all the belly rubs they get at these events! We look forward to our next event in Warwick, RI.

We have recently been selected to join the Purina Pro Plan 'Rally to Rescue'! Ambassadors. This is quite an honor and is only given to 500 rescues across the U.S. each year. We are so excited to become a part of the 2012 Rescue Ambassadors!

We will be holding events sponsored by Purina Pro Plan and hope you will come out and support us. Purina has some wonderful programs to include, Pets for People, Pets for Seniors and donating more than $10 million in food for shelters and rescues, this year alone!

It's easy to see why we would support this very important community support from our Sponsers at Purina. Please look for us at our events with our Purina Ambassador Rally to Rescue promotions. We will be selling some great looking T-shirts for donations and spreading information about Purina Pro Plan programs and Friends of Homeless Animals partnership. When you adopt through us, you will receive a packet of information and coupons from Purina.

We urge you to go to Purina's web site and learn more about the community programs and their Pro-Plan dog food nutritional support for your dog!
